Abstract
Description
本発明に係る方法により製造される液体吐出ヘッドの一例を、図1を用いて説明する。図1(a)は、本発明に係る方法により製造される液体吐出ヘッドの一例を示す斜視図である。図1(b)は、図1(a)に示される液体吐出ヘッドのA−Bにおける断面図である。
以下、本発明に係る液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法を説明するが、本発明はこれらに限定されない。
表1に記載の材料を混合し、実施例1〜15および比較例1〜5で使用する洗浄液を得た。尚、表1における単位は質量部である。
(1):ジメチルスルホキシド
(2):N−メチル−2−ピロリドン
(3):ジエチレングリコールエチルメチルエーテル
(4):エタノールアミン
(5):ジエチレングリコールエーテル
(6):水
(7):塩化水素。
<液体吐出ヘッドの製造>
まず、図2(a)に示されるように、エネルギー発生素子2を有するシリコンからなる基板1を用意した。なお、図2(a)には示されていないが、図1(a)に示される基板1と同様に、基板1はアルミニウムからなる端子14を有する。
得られた液体吐出ヘッドのインナーリードのプル強度を測定し、以下の基準で接着強度の評価を行った。評価結果を表4に示す。
A:インナーリードのプル強度の最小値が15gf(0.15N)以上であった。
B:インナーリードのプル強度の最小値が10gf(0.10N)以上15gf(0.15N)未満であった。
C:インナーリードのプル強度の最小値が10gf(0.10N)未満であった、または初期よりインナーリードの剥がれがあった。
洗浄液として表1に示される組成を有する洗浄液を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様に液体吐出ヘッドを製造し、評価した。評価結果を表4に示す。なお、実施例13においては、中間層となる層19の材料として、表3(a)に示される組成を有する感光性材料を用いた。また、実施例14においては、中間層となる層19の材料として、表3(b)に示される組成を有する感光性材料を用いた。また、実施例15においては、中間層となる層19の材料として、表3(c)に示される組成を有する感光性材料を用いた。

Claims (10)
- 外部との電気的接続を行う端子を有する基板と、該基板上の無機材料層と、該無機材料層の上に配置され、有機材料を含む流路形成部材と、を備える液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法であって、
前記端子に付着したシランカップリング剤を、フッ化水素、フッ化アンモニウムおよび水溶性有機溶剤を含む溶液を用いて除去する洗浄工程を有することを特徴とする液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。 - 前記溶液は、フッ化水素の含有量が0.05質量%以上、15.00質量%以下、フッ化アンモニウムの含有量が0.50質量%以上、20.00質量%以下、水溶性有機溶剤の含有量が30.00質量%以上、99.45質量%以下、残部の水(ただし、フッ化水素、フッ化アンモニウム、水溶性有機溶剤及び水の合計が100質量%であり、水の含有量は0質量%を含む)からなる請求項1に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
- 前記溶液は、含有するフッ化水素とフッ化アンモニウムとの質量比(フッ化アンモニウム/フッ化水素)が1以上15以下である請求項1または2に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
- 前記水溶性有機溶剤が、ジメチルスルホキシド、N−メチル−2−ピロリドン、1,3−ジメチル−2−イミダゾリジノン及びジエチレングリコールエチルメチルエーテルからなる群から選択される少なくとも一種である請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
- シランカップリング剤を含む感光性材料を、前記端子上を含む基板上に塗布し、該感光性材料の露光及び現像により、前記端子を露出して中間層を形成する工程を有し、
前記中間層を形成した後に前記洗浄工程を行う請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。 - 前記中間層を形成した後に、前記中間層及び前記基板上をシランカップリング剤で処理する工程を有し、
前記流路形成部材を形成した後に前記洗浄工程を行う請求項5に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。 - 前記端子上を含む基板上をシランカップリング剤で処理する工程を有する請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
- 前記端子がアルミニウムを含む請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
- 前記溶液の水の含有量は、50.00質量%以下である請求項1から8のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
- 前記溶液の水の含有量は、35.00質量%以下である請求項1から8のいずれか1項に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
