ここで、Aは、二次元的に投影されたシリコン粒子の投影面積であり、Pは、二次元的に投影されたシリコン粒子の周長である。前記シリコン粒子の前記球形度は、走査電子顕微鏡から得られたイメージから、ImageJ(R)のような常用のソフトウェア、例えば、Imagej136を使用して測定される。または、SYSMEX社製(神戸所在)のFPIA−3000(R)というイメージ分析器(flow particle image analyzer)により、前記球形度を測定することも可能である。
平均直径が約5μmであるポリシリコン粗粒子を剪断圧力の大きさと時間が制御されたボールミル粉砕工程により、球形度がそれぞれ約0.4、0.5、0.6、0.7、0.8、0.9を含むシリコン粒子を製造し、球形度が0.95以上のシリコン粒子は、シリコン前駆体を利用して液状熱分解法により製造した。図6は、球形度が約0.8であるシリコン粒子の走査電子顕微鏡イメージである。分析されたシリコン粒子のシリコンの純度は、99%以上である。前記製造方法は例示的であり、他の研磨工程、またはシリコンロッドまたはウェーハのようなバルクシリコン材料を電気爆発して、前記シリコン粒子を準備してもよい。シリコン粒子の平均粒径は、約220nmである。
Claims (10)
- 前記シリコン粒子は、ソリッドタイプ、ファイバータイプまたはチューブタイプのシリコン粒子を含む、請求項1に記載の二次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記シリコン粒子の球形度は、0.6以上かつ0.8以下の大きさを有する、請求項1に記載の二次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記シリコン粒子の前記(110)面は、粉砕破断面または研磨面である、請求項1に記載の二次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記シリコン粒子上に形成されたシリコン酸化膜をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の二次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記シリコン酸化膜上にシリコン炭化物層をさらに含む、請求項5に記載の二次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記シリコン粒子上に形成された導電層をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の二次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記導電層は、非晶質炭素膜または導電性金属酸化物粒子を含む、請求項7に記載の二次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記シリコン粒子の純度は、99%以上である、請求項1に記載の二次電池用負極活物質。
- 請求項1に記載の負極活物質を含むリチウム二次電池。
