Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare a reinforced decorative board with emphasized grain, in bonding veneer impregnated with a thermosetting resin to base plywood under heating and pressure to cure said resin, by preliminarily applying an org. dye to the adhesive of the veneer and the base plywood. CONSTITUTION:Veneer is held under a reduced pressure condition to exclude the air therein and subsequently immersed in an impregnation grade resin liquid composed of unsaturated polyester to inject said resin liquid in the veneer under pressure. A sealant based on aqueous vinyl urethane is applied to base plywood to be dried. Next, an adhesive containing a dye is applied to the sealant treated plywood and the resin injected veneer is subsequently placed on said plywood and the whole is cured under pressure to obtain a decorative board. After cooling and sanding, the decorative board to which urethane coating is applied is made sharp in the grain by the color dye.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Field of Industrial Application) The present invention relates to a decorative board made of WPC (wood plastic combination), and more particularly to a method for producing a decorative board whose grain is strengthened or weakened.

On the other hand, in recent years, as a way to enhance the quality of wood and give it an image of luxury, the grain of the wood has been strengthened or weakened. Methods for enhancing the heather grain include: ■ Applying a heather grain enhancer or heather highlighter that reacts with the nine fine components and pigments present in the wood; ■ Creating unevenness on the surface of the veneer by brushing, etc. Two methods are widely known: a method in which the recesses are colored darker than the convex portions, and (2) a method in which a dye is added in advance to the thermosetting resin liquid.

(Problem to be solved by the invention) However, when method (■) is used, the summer wood part becomes darker in color than the spring wood part and the heathered grain is emphasized, resulting in a disadvantage that the whole becomes darker in color. In the case of method (■), the spring wood part becomes a concave part and the summer wood part becomes a convex part, so the emphasized heather grain is reversed from the original heather grain, creating an unnatural heather grain. There were drawbacks. Furthermore, in the case of (2), there were disadvantages in that the grain was not very clear, and that adjustment tanks with different coloring formulations were required, or the impregnation pots had to be cleaned or a large number of pots were required.

Therefore, the inventors of the present invention have made extensive studies to solve these conventional drawbacks, and have found that, after impregnating the veneer with a thermosetting resin, the veneer is impregnated with a thermosetting resin, and then the vagina veneer is bonded to the base plywood by heat pressure curing. The inventors have discovered that it is possible to easily emphasize the grain by adding an organic dye or the like to the adhesive used to bond the veneer and the base plywood in advance, and have arrived at the present invention.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The above-mentioned object of the present invention is to impregnate a veneer with a thermosetting resin liquid and then attach the veneer to a base plywood that has been sealed.
A method for producing a decorative board by curing the resin liquid under heat and pressure, wherein an adhesive containing at least one selected from organic dyes, organic pigments, and inorganic pigments is used as an adhesive between the veneer and the base plywood. This was achieved by a method for manufacturing reinforced decorative boards that emphasizes the grain.

The thermosetting resin that can be used in the present invention may be transparent or opaque after curing (for example, styrene, methyl methacrylate, diallyl phthalate, saturated or unsaturated polyester, melamine, phenolic resin, etc.). The thermosetting resin composition can be appropriately selected from resins commonly used for impregnated wood, unsaturated polyester containing a shrinkage reducing agent, and other known thermosetting resin compositions.

In the present invention, the method for impregnating the veneer with the thermosetting resin liquid can be appropriately selected from among known methods, but in particular, the air in the veneer tube is discharged by reducing the pressure, A method in which the veneer is immersed in a resin liquid and then pressurized to inject the resin liquid into the veneer tube is preferable because a large amount of the resin liquid can be impregnated into the veneer in a short period of time.

The adhesive used to firmly bond the veneer and the base plywood during the heat-pressure curing process can be appropriately selected from known adhesives. Since it permeates into the board pipe when pressure is applied, it is preferable that it has good compatibility with the thermosetting resin that has been impregnated into the veneer in advance, from the viewpoint of easy permeation and less unevenness in the finish. . In this sense, in the present invention, at least the main components of the adhesive preferably match the main components of the thermosetting resin with which the veneer is impregnated in advance.

The organic dye and organic or inorganic pigment used in the present invention can be appropriately selected from known dyes and pigments. Dyes alone do not emphasize the grain sufficiently, and their light resistance is also inferior to that of pigments, so pigments with good light resistance are mainly used.
It is preferred to use dyes as subtle toning agents when necessary.

(Function) According to the present invention (a veneer pre-impregnated with a thermosetting resin,
When it is attached to a base plywood via an adhesive and heated to cure the thermosetting resin under heat and pressure, the solution viscosity of the resin decreases until the polymerization reaction progresses to a certain extent. Therefore, the resin and the adhesive having good compatibility with the resin move with each other at the interface between the impregnated veneer and the colored adhesive, thereby emphasizing the grain.

In this case, the base plywood is sealed in advance, so the adhesive does not transfer to the base plywood, and when hardwood is used as the veneer, resins, dyes, and pigments transfer quickly. This effectively emphasizes the heathered grain.
