本考案は、印刷装置に使用される導体箔と絶縁

もに、曲折による繰り返えし荷重に対する耐久性
の向上と、FPCの動きが、コネクタ104に直
接作用して導通不良をおこさない様にしてある。
しかし、FPCのホルダ105を設けた従来の方
法では、ホルダ105を取付けている外部回路基
板103の面積を多く必要とするとともに、部品
と組立作業のコストが高くなるという欠点を有し

高い印刷装置のフレキシブルケーブルを提供する

印字ヘツド2はFPC1により外部回路基板3上
のコネクタ4に接続してある。以上の接続の仕方
や印字ヘツド2が矢印A方向に左右に往復移動し
て印刷する動作は従来と同様であるが、本考案は
FPC1の案内をするホルダを必要としないもの
である。第1図に示される様に、符号1は、記録
紙に対して印字桁方向(矢印A方向)に移動して
印字する印字ヘツド2と、これに電力を供給する
回路基板3に固定されたコネクタ4とを接続する
フレキシブルケーブル(FPC)である。この
FPC1には印字ヘツド2とコネクタ4とを電気
的に接続する複数の導体箔が設けられており、一
方の端部近くには印字ヘツド2の移動方向に対し
て直角方向に延びる導体箔が並列して配置された
端子部が形成されている。又、FPC1には、他
方の端に印字ヘツド2に接続される他の端子部
と、互いの端子部どうしをつなぎ、印字ヘツド2
の移動方向に延びるケーブル部が形成されてい
る。このケーブル部の端部1aと前記した端子部
との間にはケーブル部の方向に開かれた切り欠き
1bが形成され、複数の導体箔はこの切り欠き1
