  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 車両の走行距離を検出する距離検出手段と、 車両の進行方向を検出する方位検出手段と、 上記各手段の出力に基づいて、走行する車両の
    現在位置を演算する位置演算手段と、 道路地図情報を記憶した地図記憶手段と、 上記位置演算手段から得られ、車両の移動につ
    れて変化する現在位置の軌跡を順次記憶する軌跡
    記憶手段と、 上記位置演算手段から得られる現在位置情報に
    基づいて、該当するエリアの道路地図情報を地図
    記憶手段から呼び出し、現在位置およびその時点
    までの現在位置軌跡を重ね合わせて表示画面に表
    示する表示手段と、 この表示手段により表示され、車両現在位置を
    ほぼ中心とした一定範囲に含まれる通路上の各点
    を始点とする一定長の道路を表す道路データを、
    上記地図記憶手段より抽出するデータ抽出手段と
    、 この手段により抽出された各道路データと、上
    記軌跡記憶手段に記憶されている現在位置軌跡と
    を比較し、最も現在位置軌跡に類似している道路
    データを選定するデータ比較手段と、 この手段により選定された道路データに対応す
    る表示画面上の道路に、現在位置および軌跡を移
    動修正する現在位置修正手段と、 表示画面の地図上に表示されている車両現在位
    置および軌跡をキー操作等の手動入力に基づいて
    移動させる手動現在位置修正手段と、 を備えた車両用現在地表示装置において、 上記データ抽出手段により道路データを抽出す
    る際、道路データの始点が選定される所定範囲を
    、表示画面の地図上に表示する比較エリア表示手
