The present invention relates to a curing composition that can be used to coat the surface of various substrates like a paint, to bond two objects by sandwiching them between various materials, or to form a molded article. The present invention relates to a curing composition that can be heat-cured at a curing temperature, can be sintered into ceramics at a low sintering temperature, and has excellent mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties. Ceramics are widely used in industry for their excellent properties, but in order to sinter the particles together, they require sintering at a high temperature of over 1000°C during or after molding, which consumes a large amount of energy in the cost of the product. The weight of is extremely large. Since lowering the firing temperature reduces costs, many studies have been made on the particle size, particle size distribution, etc. of ceramic particles, but these studies have not been sufficient. The curing composition of the present invention not only yields ceramics by sintering at a low sintering temperature of 600 to 800°C, but also provides a cured product simply by heating and drying at a low curing temperature of 100 to 200°C. The cured product has sufficient strength and physical properties for practical use, and can be heated from room temperature to 1000℃.
This is a curing composition that can be used over a wide temperature range. Since it has good physical properties in its raw state without being turned into a ceramic before sintering, heating during use is sufficient for sintering, and it does not require sintering at a particularly high temperature, making it an energy-saving hardening composition. be. That is, the present invention is a curable composition comprising a binder produced by a condensation reaction of a curable organosilicone resin and a group metal alkoxide, and a mica compound. Compositions containing specific organic silicone compounds and fumed silica are known as silicone compositions that can be made into ceramics, but the curing composition of the present invention is one-component and heat-curable at a low curing temperature of 100 to 150°C. is possible, and when used 600 ~
Turned into ceramic by heating at 800℃, heated to 1000℃
It has the advantageous feature of being able to withstand more than As the curable organic silicone resin that can be used in the present invention, any resin that can be used as a paint vehicle or moldable can be used, but the most preferred one is a silicone resin called silicone varnish. Examples include compounds. The organic side chain of the siloxane bond is preferably methyl, ethyl, phenyl, etc., and not only straight silicone but also silicone compounds modified with acrylic, epoxy, alkyd, etc. can be used. It is necessary that the condensation reaction with the group metal alkoxide does not result in three-dimensional gelation or insolubilization in solvents. Group metal alkoxides that can be reacted with these organic silicone resins include group metals such as silicon, germanium, tin, lead, titanium, zirconium, and hafnium.
As the organic group, alkoxy groups such as methoxy, ethoxy, propoxy, butoxy, and pentoxy can be used. All of the group metal's four valences do not need to be alkoxy groups, and some of them may be replaced with other substituents. Tetramers, oligomers, and polymers in which two or more alkoxide monomers are condensed can also be used. The most suitable alkoxides include tetra-n-butyl titanate, a partial condensate of tetra-n-butyl titanate, tetraethyl titanate, tetraethyl silicate, a partial condensate of tetraethyl silicate, and tetraethyl zirconate. The reaction temperature in the condensation reaction between the organosilicone resin and the group metal alkoxide is not particularly limited, but it is generally carried out by simply stirring at a temperature in the range of room temperature to 100°C. At this time, an organic solvent can also be used. Any organic solvent may be used as long as it dissolves the organic silicone resin, and examples thereof include aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene, toluene, and xylene, halogenated hydrocarbons, esters, ketones, and alcohols. The reaction solution may turn into a gel at the same time as mixing, but by continuing to stir and react in a state that contains a solvent, the condensation reaction product will dissolve in the alcohol produced, gradually becoming a homogeneous binder solution. . The reaction ratio of the organic silicone resin and the alkoxide is preferably 0.1 to 200 in terms of Si/M atomic ratio, and 1 to 200.
50 is more preferred. If this atomic ratio is greater than 200, low-temperature curing properties during drying tend to decrease, and it is also necessary to heat dry at a high drying temperature of 250° C. or higher. On the other hand, if the atomic ratio is less than 0.1, the strength, adhesion, and film-forming properties of the composition tend to decrease, and problems such as cracks in the coating film, decrease in adhesive strength, and decrease in electrical insulation properties tend to occur. In this regard
The Si/M atomic ratio is important in the present invention. Mica compounds used as aggregates for the purpose of making ceramics include natural minerals and artificially produced synthetic mica compounds. Many types of mica compounds are known depending on their chemical composition, and all of these can be used. Naturally occurring micas include phlogopite, sericite, muscovite, biotite, lepidolite, and soda mica, while synthetic micas include fluorine phlogopite, fluorine tetrasilicate mica, and taeniolite. Two or more types are used. The general formula of the mica compound is expressed as follows. X 0.3~1.0 Y 2~3 Z 4 O 10 (OH) 2 or X 0.3~1.0
Y 2 - 3 Z 4 O 10 F 2 However, X represents a cation with a coordination number of 12, Y represents a cation with a coordination number of 6, and Z represents a cation with a coordination number of 4.
Moreover, X, Y, and Z are one or more of the following. X: Na + , K + , Li + , Ca 2+ , Ba 2+ , Rb 2+ ,
Sr 2+ etc. Y: Mg 2+ , Fe 2+ , Ni 2+ , Mn 2+ , Al 3+ , Fe 3+ ,
Li + etc. Z: (Al 3+ , Si 4+ ), Si 4+ , Ge 4+ , Al 3+ , Fe 3+ ,
B 3+ etc. The chemical formula of typical mica compounds is as follows. Natural system: Muscovite KAl 2 (AlSi 3 O 10 ) (OH) 2 Soda mica NaAl 2 (AlSi 3 O 10 ) (OH) 2 Phlogopite KMg 3 (AlSi 3 O 10 ) (OH) 2 Biotite K[Mg 3 K (Mg, Fe) 3 AlSi 3 O 10 ]
(OH) 2 phosphomica KLi 2 Al (Si 4 O 10 ) (OH) 2 sericite K 0.5 ~1 (Al, Fe 2+ , Fe 3+ , Mg) 2 (Si, Al) 4 O 10
(OH) 2・H 2 O Synthetic fluorine phlogopite KMg 3 (AlSi 3 O 10 )F 2 Potassium tetrasilicon mica KMg 2.5 (Si 4 O 10 )F 2 Taeniolite ( Na ,K)Mg 2 Li( Si 4 O 10 ) F 2 hectorite (Na, Li) Mg 2 2/3Lil/3
(Si 4 O 10 ) F 2 Any mica compound can be used in the curing composition of the present invention, but in terms of heat resistance, fluorine-based mica in which (OH) o in the molecular formula is replaced with fluorine is preferable. is preferred. The particle size of the mica compound is not particularly limited, but in order to perform low-temperature sintering, it is preferably 250 μm or less, more preferably 100 μm or less. The composition of the present invention has sufficient low-temperature drying properties and low-temperature sintering properties even with the above composition, but by adding fine aluminum oxide with an average particle size of 1 μm or less to the above composition, dielectric breakdown It is possible to significantly improve the electrical properties such as The aluminum oxide is preferably α-alumina, and the average particle size must be 1 μm or less, particularly preferably the maximum particle size is 1 μm or less, and the average particle size is in the range of 0.01 to 0.1 μm. .
Aluminum oxide having a particle size exceeding 1 μm has little effect on improving electrical properties. The content of aluminum oxide is preferably 0.1 to 30 wt%, more preferably 1 to 20 wt%, based on the total composition containing aluminum oxide. The content is
If it is less than 0.1 wt%, it will hardly contribute to the improvement of electrical properties, and if it exceeds 30 wt%, low-temperature sinterability will deteriorate. In addition to the above aggregates, heat-resistant oxide powders such as silica, zirconia, zircon, titanium oxide, chromium oxide, etc., silicon carbide, silicon nitride, boron nitride, aluminum nitride, titanium nitride, etc. may be used as necessary. It is also possible to contain powders of carbides and nitrides, glass powders, glass flakes, low-melting glass frits, ceramic fibers, ceramic whiskers, etc., and also auxiliary agents such as dispersion stabilizers. The blending ratio of binder and aggregate is not particularly limited, but
Binder (solid content)/aggregate weight ratio: 5/95 to 70/
A range of 30 is preferred, with 10/90 to 50/50 being optimal. If the binder is less than this range, the adhesion
Film formability and electrical properties deteriorate, and physical properties in the raw state before sintering tend to deteriorate. On the other hand, if it is larger than this range, heat resistance and dimensional stability during sintering are likely to deteriorate. In order to adjust the viscosity of the composition to a state that is easy to work with, it may contain an organic solvent capable of dissolving the binder. As an organic solvent,
The organic solvent used in the condensation reaction can be used. The kneading of the composition is not limited as long as it has sufficient kneading ability and can sufficiently loosen aggregated aggregates. For example, kneading can be carried out using a ball mill, a colloid mill, a three-roll mill, or the like. The curing composition of the present invention can be sintered at a low sintering temperature of 600 to 800°C to obtain ceramics, which can withstand high temperatures of 1000°C or higher and can be hardened by heating at 100 to 200°C. The cured product has strength, adhesion, film-forming properties, and electrical insulation properties that are suitable for practical use, and can be used in a wide range of applications such as heat-resistant paints, heat-resistant adhesives, heat-resistant potting agents, and various molded products. Useful. The present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to Examples below. In addition, in the examples, the adhesive strength is JIS K
The tensile shear adhesive strength is based on 6850, and the adherend is carbon steel (SS-41). The strength of dielectric breakdown was calculated from the dielectric breakdown voltage after applying a coating of 100±20 μm on a SUS304 base material and curing it by heating at 200°C for 30 minutes. Example 1 Organic silicone resin (KR-271 manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.)
In a flask with a stirrer, add 30 parts of tetrabutyl titanate tetramer to 100 parts (solid content 50%) of 40 ± 5
The reaction was carried out at ℃ for 48 hours. Although the reaction once turned into a gel during mixing, a homogeneous solution was obtained by continuing stirring. It was diluted with xylene as a solvent so that the solid content was about 40%, and used as a binder. Next, 80 parts of fluorine-based synthetic mica powder (250 mesh pass) was added to 100 parts of this binder, and the mixture was kneaded with three rolls. The binder (solid content)/aggregate weight ratio was 33/67. The resulting composition was coated onto a degreased carbon steel plate to a thickness of 100 μm using a bar coater, and after being left at room temperature for 10 minutes, it was heated to 100°C.
After heating for 60 minutes, the coating film was completely cured.
No surface tack was observed. Tensile shear adhesive strength is 35Kgf/cm 2 for carbon steel.
It exhibited strong adhesive strength of 30Kgf/cm 2 with aluminum. The tensile shear adhesive strength after heating at 500℃ for 1 hour is
It is made of carbon steel and has excellent heat-resistant adhesive strength of 31Kgf/cm 2 . The volume resistivity was 10 12 Ω -cm or more, and the dielectric breakdown strength was 20 KV/mm. Ceramicization progresses by heating at 600°C, and the Vickers hardness Hv(10) of the coating surface changes from 40 at 200°C to 150, and there is no change in hardness even after heating at 1000°C for 1 hour.
Melting of mica occurred at 1200℃. Examples 2 to 5 and Comparative Examples 1 to 2 Various compositions that can be made into ceramics shown in Table 1 were manufactured. In Examples 2 to 5, good ceramic compositions were obtained, but in Comparative Example 1, aluminum isopropoxide, which is a group metal alkoxide, caused crosslinking gelation of the binder to obtain a uniform binder. I couldn't do it. When the group metal alkoxide was not used as in Comparative Example 2, the heat curing property was high at 250° C. or higher, and the adhesive strength was also low.
