Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 ［産業上の利用分野コ 本発明はガソリンエンジン、ディーゼルエンジンなどの
潤滑油として有用なエンジン油組成物に関するものであ
る。
［従来技術］ 石油危機を契機に、省エネルギ一対策が各方面で実施さ
れる中にあって、自動車の燃費改善を図るための潤滑油
の検討が進められている。潤滑油による省燃費対策とし
ては、（１）流体潤滑下における摩擦損失の低下を意図
した低粘度化、および（２）混合潤滑下および境界潤滑
下における摩擦損失の低減を意図した摩擦低減剤の添加
、などが検討されている。特に近年の優れた省燃費油で
は、摩擦低減剤の添加は必須となっており、これまでに
多くの種類の化合物が開発され、成果をあげている。
しかしながら、摩擦低減剤は、一般に、劣化を受ける前
の新油中では優れた効果を発揮するが、エンジン運転中
の劣化に伴って、省燃費効果が徐々に失われてしまうと
いう問題を有している。この劣化を防止するためには、
酸化防止剤がある程度有効であることが知られているが
、まだその効果は十分とはいえず、解決が望まれていた
。
［発明が解決しようとする課題］ 本発明者等はこれらの問題を解決するため研究を重ねた
結果、摩擦低減剤及び酸化防止剤を含むエンジン油にア
ルカリ土類金属ホウ酸塩で過塩基化させた金属系清浄剤
を含有せしめることによリ、長期にわたって優れた省燃
費効果を有することを見いだし、本発明を完成するに至
った。
本発明は、特定の添加剤組成を有する、長期にわたって
省燃費効果の優れたエンジン油組成物を提供することを
目的とする。
［課題を解決するための手段］ すなわち、本発明は、潤滑油基油に、組成物全量基準で
、 （ａ）アルカリ土類金属ホウ酸塩で過塩基化させた油溶
性金属塩０６０１〜３０重量％、（ｂ）摩擦低減剤０．
ＯＩ〜５重量％および、（ｃ）酸化防止剤０．０１〜５
重量％ をそれぞれ必須成分として含育せしめたことを特徴とす
るエンジン油組成物を提供するものである。
以下、本発明の内容を詳細に説明する。
本発明における潤滑油基油としては、特に限定されるも
のではなく、通常、エンジン油の基油として用いられて
いるものであれば、鉱油、合成油を問わず使用できる。
鉱油としては、例えば原油を常圧蒸留および減圧蒸留し
て得られた潤滑油留分を、溶剤脱れき、溶剤抽出、水素
化分解、溶剤脱ろう、接触膜ろう、水素化精製、硫酸洗
浄、白土処理等の精製処理を適宜組み合わせて精製した
パラフィン系、ナフテン系などの基油が使用できる。ま
た、合成油としては、例えば、ポリα−オレフィン（ポ
リブテン、１−オクテンオリゴマー　１−デセンオリゴ
マーなど）、アルキルベンゼン、アルキルナフタレン、
ジエステル（ジトリデシルグルタレート、ジ２−エチル
へキシルアジペート、ジイソデシルアジペート、ジトリ
デシルアジペート、ジ３−エチルへキシルセバケートな
ど）、ポリオールエステル（トリメチロールプロパンカ
プリレート、トリメチロールブロバンペラルゴネート、
ペンタエリスリトール２−エチルヘキサノエート、ペン
タエリスリトールペラルゴネートなど）、ポリオキシア
ルキレングリコール、ポリフェニルエーテル、シリコー
ン油、パーフルオロアルキルエーテルなどが使用できる
。これらの基油は単独でも、２Ｎ以上組み合わせて使用
してもよい。これらの基油の好ましい動粘度は、１００
℃において３〜２０ｃＳｔである。
本発明の（ａ）アルカリ土類金属ホウ酸塩で過塩基化さ
せた油溶性金属塩とは、油溶性のアルカリ土類金属スル
ホネート、アルカリ土類金属サリシレート、アルカリ土
類金属フェネート、アルカリ土類金属ホスホネートなど
の油溶性金属塩、アルカリ土類金属水酸化物または酸化
物、ならびにホウ酸または無水ホウ酸を反応せしめて得
られるものであって、アルカリ土類金属としては、マグ
ネシウム、カルシウム、バリウムなどがあげられるが、
カルシウムが好ましい。また、油溶性金属塩としては、
アルカリ土類金属サリシレートを用いるのが好ましい。
さらに、この（ａ）成分のＪＩＳ　Ｋ２ＳＯ３５，２，
３による全塩基価は、１００以上、好ましくは、１７０
以上であるのが望ましく、粒径は０．１１１ｍ以下、好
ましくは０．０５ｎ以下であるのが望ましい。この（ａ
）アルカリ土類金属ホウ酸塩で過塩基化させた油溶性金
属塩の製造法は任意であるが、例えば、上記油溶性金属
塩、アルカリ土類金属水酸化物または酸化物、ならびに
ホウ酸または無水ホウ酸を水、メタノール、エタノール
、プロパツール、ブタノールなどのアルコール及びベン
ゼン、トルエン、キシレンなどの希釈溶剤の存在下で２
０〜２００℃で２〜８時間反応させ、つぎに１００〜２
００℃に加熱して水および必要に応じてアルコールおよ
び希釈溶剤を除去することにより得られる。これらの詳
細な反応条件は、原料、反応物の量などに応じて適宜選
択される。なお、製造法の詳細については、例えば特開
昭［１Ｏ−１１６［ｉ８８号公報、同６１−２０４２！
１８号公報などに記載されている。
上記方法で製造された（ａ）アルカリ土類金属ホウ酸塩
で過塩基化させた油溶性金属塩の粒径は通常０．１１ｍ
以下、全塩基価は通常１００以上となるので、好ましく
用いられる。
この（ａ）アルカリ土類金属ホウ酸塩で過塩基化させた
油溶性金属塩の含有量は、組成物全量基準で０．０１〜
３０重量％、好ましくは０．０５〜５重量％である。含
有量が０．０１重量％に満たない場合には、省燃費効果
が短期間しか持続せず、３０重量％を越える場合には、
含有量に見合った効果が得られず、それぞれ好ましくな
い。また、（ａ）成分を用いず、かわりに、その他の金
属塩、例えばアルカリ土類金属炭酸塩で過塩基化させた
油溶性金属塩を用いた場合も、省燃費効果が短期間しか
持続しないので好ましくない。
本発明の（ｂ）摩擦低減剤としては、一般にエンジン油
に使用されているものであれば何を用いても支障はない
。例えば、モリブデンジチオホスフェート、モリブデン
ジチオカーバメート、二硫化モリブデン、フッ化カーボ
ン、はう酸エステル、脂肪族アミン、高級アルコール、
高級脂肪酸、脂肪エステル、脂肪酸アミドなどが挙げら
れる。
さらに具体的には、硫化モリブデンジエチルジチオホス
フェート、硫化モリブデンジプロピルジチオホスフェー
ト、硫化モリブデンジブチルジチオホスフェート、硫化
モリブデンジペンチルジチオホスフェート、硫化モリブ
デンジヘキシルジチオホスフェート、硫化モリブデンジ
オクチルジチオホスフェート、硫化モリブデンジデシル
ジチオホスフェート、硫化モリブデンジドデシルジチオ
ホスフェート、硫化モリブデンジ（ブチルフェニル）ジ
チオホスフェート、硫化モリブデンジ（ノニルフェニル
）ジチオホスフェート、硫化オキシモリブデンジエチル
ジチオホスフェート、硫化オキシモリブデンジプロピル
ジチオホスフェート、硫化オキシモリブデンジブチルジ
チオホスフェート、硫化オキシモリブデンジペンチルジ
チオホスフェート、硫化オキシモリブデンジヘキシルジ
チオホスフェート、硫化オキシモリブデンジオクチルジ

ブデンジペンチルジチオカーバメート、硫化オキシモリ
ブデンジヘキシルジチオカーバメート、硫化オキシモリ
ブデンジオクチルジチオカーバメート、硫化オキシモリ
ブデンジデシルジチオカーバメート、硫化オキシモリブ
デンジドデシルジチオカーバメート、硫化オキシモリブ
デンジ（ブチルフェニル）ジチオカーバメート、硫化オ
キシモリブデンジ（ノニルフェニル）ジチオカーバメー
ト、ラウリルアミン、ミリスチルアミン、パルミチルア
ミン、ステアリルアミン、オレイルアミン、ラウリルア
ルコール、ミリスチルアルコール、バルミチルアルコー
ル、ステアリルアルコール、オレイルアルコール、ラウ
リン酸、ミリスチン酸、バルミチン酸、ステアリン酸、
オレイン酸、ラウリン酸メチル、ミリスチン酸メチル、
バルミチン酸メチル、ステアリン酸メチル、オレイン酸
メチル、ラウリルアミド、ミリスチルアミド、バルミチ
ルアミド、ステアリルアミド、オレイルアミドなどが好
ましく用いられる。この　（ｂ）摩擦低減剤の含有量は
、組成物全量基準で、０．０１〜５重量％、好ましくは
０．０５〜２重量％である。含有量が０．０１重量％に
満たない場合には、摩擦低減効果がなく、５重量％を越
える場合には、含有量に見合った効果が得られず、それ
ぞれ好ましくない。
本発明の（ｃ）酸化防止剤としては、一般にエンジン油
に使用されているものであれば何を用いても支障はない
。例えば、フェノール系、アミン系、硫黄系、チオリン
酸亜鉛系、フェノチアジン系のものなどが用いられる。
さらに具体的には、ジフェニルアミン、Ｉ）＋１”・−
ジオクチルジフェニルアミン、ｐ、ｐ′−ジノニルジフ
ェニルアミンｐ，ｐ’−ジドデシルジフェニルアミン、
フェニル−α−ナフチルアミン、ｐ−オクチルフェニル
−α−ナフチルアミン、ｐ−ノニルフェニル−α−ナフ
チルアミン、ｐ−ドデシルフェニル−α−ナフチルアミ
ン、２，６−ジーｔ−ブチルフェノール、２，６−ジー
ｔ−ブチル−ｐ−クレゾール、２。
６−ジーｔ−ブチル−４−エチルフェノール、２、２′
−メチレンビス（４−メチル−Ｓ−ｔ−ブチルフェノー
ル）、２．２’−メチレンビス（４−エチル−８−ｔ−
ブチルフェノール）、４，４′　−メチレンビス（　２
．８−ジ−ｔ−ブチルフェノール）、４．４’−ビス（
２，６−ジーｔ−ブチルフェノール）、４．４′−チオ
ビス（６−ｔ−ブチル−０−クレゾール）、ジアルキル
ジチオリン酸亜鉛、フェノチアジン及びこれらの混合物
などが挙げられる。この（ｃ）酸化防止剤の含有量は、
組成物全量基準で、０．０１〜５重量％、好ましくは０
．１−２重量％である。含有量が０．０１重量％に満た
ない場合には、省燃費効果が短期間しか持続せず、５重
量％を越える場合には、含有量に見合った効果が得られ
ず、それぞれ好ましくない。
本発明のエンジン油組成物に対して、さらにその優れた
性能を高めるため、必要に応して公知の添加剤を使用す
ることができる。この添加剤としては例えば、トリクレ
ジルホスフェート、トリフェニルホスフェート、ジチオ
リン酸亜鉛などの極圧剤、石油スルホネート、ジノニル
ナフタレンスルホネートなどの錆止め剤、ベンゾトリア
ゾールなどの金属不活性化剤、アルカリ土類金属スルホ
ネート、アルカリ土類金属フェネート、アルカリ土類金
属サリシレート、アルカリ土類金属ホスホネートなどの
金属系清浄剤、こはく酸イミド、こハ＜酸エステル、ベ
ンジルアミンなどの無灰分散剤、シリコーンなどの消泡
剤、ポリメタクリレート、ポリイソブチレン、ポリスチ
レンなどの粘度指数向上剤、流動点降下剤などが挙げら
れ、これらを単独または２種以上組み合わせて添加する
ことができる。粘度指数向上剤の含有量は通常１〜３０
重Ｉ％、消泡剤の含有量は通常０．０００５〜１重量％
、金属不活性化剤の含有量は通常ｏ　、ｏｏｓ〜１重量
％、その他の添加剤の含有量は、それぞれ通常０。
１−１５重量％（いずれも組成物全量基１）である。
本発明のエンジン油組成物は、２輪車、４輪車等のガソ
リンエンジン、陸用ディーゼルエンジン、舶用ディーゼ
ルエンジンなどの潤滑油として好ましく使用できる。
［実施例コ 以下、本発明の内容を実施例および比較例によりさらに
具体的に説明するが、本発明はこれらの実施例に同等限
定されるものではない。
実施例および比較例に用いたエンジン油組成物の組成を
表に示した。これらのエンジン油の性能を以下に示す性
能評価試験により評価した。
（ＬＦＷ摩擦試験） 試料油の新油および酸化劣化油のＬＦＷ摩擦試験を行っ
た。条件は、荷重３０１ｂ，回転数１５０Ｏｒｐｍ、油
温８０℃とした。なお、酸化劣化油としては、ＪＩＳ　
Ｋ　２５１４　３．１に規定される潤滑油酸化安定度試
験に準拠し、試験温度１５０℃、７２時間の条件で酸化
劣化させた油を用いた。
表 ■　はう酸カルシウムで過塩基化させた油溶性金属塩旧
　炭酸カルシウムで過塩基化させた油溶性金属塩１　油
中モリブデン量を０．０５１量％とした。
［発明の効果コ 表に示す結果から明かなように、本発明のエンジン油は
、各成分の相乗効果により、酸化劣化後も摩擦係数が変
化せず、優れた省燃費効果が長期間持続することがわか
る。一方、（ａ）成分のかわりに炭酸カルシウムで過塩
基化させた油溶性金属塩を用いたもの（比較例１）およ
び（ｃ）成分を用いないもの（比較例２）は、いずれも
酸化劣化後に摩擦係数が増大し、省燃費効果の持続期間
が本発明品に比べて短いことが明かである。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）潤滑油基油に、組成物全量基準で、 （ａ）アルカリ土類金属ホウ酸塩で過塩基化させた油溶
    性金属塩０．０１〜３０重量％、 （ｂ）摩擦低減剤０．０１〜５重量％および、（ｃ）酸
    化防止剤０．０１〜５重量％ をそれぞれ必須成分として含有せしめたことを特徴とす
    るエンジン油組成物。
