【産業上の利用分野】
本発明は、端子相互の接続における挿入力の低減を図っ
た低挿入力端子に関すするものである。 ［０００２］ ［００１６］ また、雌端子２６には、弾性電気接触部２９の先端方す
なわち該弾性電気接触部２９の接触点である頂部３０を
除く先端側の傾斜面３１上と、該弾性電気接触部２９に
対向する凸状電気接触部３２の先端方すなわち角部の傾
斜面３３とに、同様の非導電性の低摩擦材３４をコーテ
ィングしである。 ［００１７］ 該低摩擦材２８．３４としては、例えばテフロン樹脂が
用いられ、その場合には、図５に前記雄端子２５の成形
過程を示す如く、端子２５′　の打抜き成形前の金属素
板３５の表裏面に対し、上記した低摩擦材のコーティン
グ２８の位置に対応する部位にテフロン樹脂３６を焼付
塗装したり、あるいは打抜き後のタブ２７の先端に同様
の処理を施すことにより、効率的な生産が可能となる。 ［００１８］ 図６は、雌端子２６に雄端子２５を挿入した状態を示す
ものである。該雄端子２５の挿入に際しては、先端方の
低摩擦材のコーティング２８が雌端子２６の電気接続部
２９．３２の先端方のコーティング３４と摺接して、弾
性電気接触部２９の頂部３０と凸状電気接触部３２との
間にスムーズに挿入されるから、初期挿入力が低減する
。そして、該雄端子２５の挿入に伴って両端子２５，２
．６の電気接触部２７，３０．３２が相互に接触して電
気的接続が可能となる。 ［００１９］ 図７は、横軸に挿入ストローク、縦軸に挿入力をとって
上記低挿入力端子２５２６（実線イで示す）と従来の端
子（図８の１４．２１、破線口で示す）の挿入力を比較
したものであり、初期挿入力の低下ハに伴って挿入スト
ローク中の抵抗も二のように低下する。これは初期カジ
リの減少や初期馴染みの効果によるものと考えられる。 ［００２０１
【発明の効果］ 以上の如くに、本発明によれば、多極コネクタ同士の結
合を手指により楽に行うことができるから、結合作業性
が向上し、作業者の負担も軽減する。また、逆に、従来
よりも端子の数を増やして、接続能力を上げることも可
能である。 【図８】 従来例を示す斜視図である。
