Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 (1) 一対のローラからなり、両ローラ間に通紙
    経路の一部となる隙間を形成する搬送ローラ対と
    、 搬送ローラ対の一対のローラを接近及び離間さ
    せて前記隙間を調整する調整手段と、 搬送ローラ対に搬送される紙の有無を検知する
    紙検知手段と、 紙検知手段の検知情報に基づいて紙詰まり状態
    か否かを判断するとともに、この判断結果が紙詰
    まり状態であるとき、前記搬送ローラ対の隙間を
    広げるよう調整手段を制御する制御手段と、 を備えたことを特徴とする画像形成装置。 (2) 前記搬送ローラ対を複数対設け、前記制御
    手段が、これら複数対の搬送ローラ対のうち紙詰
    まり状態にある搬送ローラ対の隙間を選択的に広
    げるようにしたことを特徴とする請求項１記載の
    画像形成装置。 (3) 前記調整手段が、前記搬送ローラ対のうち
    一方のローラを回転自在に支承する揺動体と、画
    像形成装置本体側の部材と揺動体との間に介装さ
    れて搬送ローラ対に所定の接触圧を加える弾性部
    材と、揺動体を弾性部材の付勢方向と反対の方向
    に揺動させる駆動部材と、を有することを特徴と
    する請求項１又は２記載の画像形成装置。
