Abstract
Description
Claims (22)
- 1.A)式: (CnF2n+1)(CH2)x(CHR)OCOCH=CH2(式中、nは整 数であり、Xは0、1、2または3であり、且つRはHまたはCH2OCOCH =CHのある)のフルオロアクリレートモノマー16を用意する工程;B)その モノマー6をキャリヤービヒクル中に入れてこれらの混合物14を生成する工程 ; C)基材10をモノマー混合物14で含浸する工程;D)基材10から実質的に 全てのビヒクルを除去する工程;及びE)モノマー16の重合を開始し、それに よりモノマー16を重合して、基材に機械的に接着されている撥油性及び撥水性 の相似被覆物16′を形成する工程を含むことを特徴とする多孔質基材10を処 理して永久の撥水性及び撥油性を得るとともに、その多孔度を維持する方法。
- 2.前記のモノマー16が種々のnの値に相当する幾つかの同族体を含み、前記 の同族体の少なくとも5%が少なくとも8であるnの値を有する請求の範囲第1 項に記載の方法。
- 3.前記の同族体の少なくとも30%が少なくとも8であるnの値を有する請求 の範囲第2項に記載の方法。
- 4.前記の同族体の少なくとも50%が少なくとも8であるnの値を有する請求 の範囲第2項に記載の方法。
- 5.モノマー16の重合を生じるように活性化し得る開始剤を用意する別の工程 を含み、モノマー16をキャリヤービヒクルに入れる工程が開始剤をビヒクルに 入れる別の工程を含み、且つモノマー16の重合を開始する工程が開始剤を活性 化することを含む請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。
- 6.開始剤を用意する工程か光重合開始剤を用意することを含み、且つ開始剤を 活性化する工程が光重合開始剤を光で照射することを含む請求の範囲第5項に記 載の方法。
- 7.開始剤を用意する工程が遊離基開始剤を用意することを含み、且つ開始剤を 活性化する工程が開始剤を加熱することを含む請求の範囲第5項に記載の方法。
- 8.モノマー16の重合を開始する工程がモノマーに電子線を衝突させることを 含む請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。
- 9.モノマー混合物を用意するために架橋剤を用意する別の工程を含み、モノマ ー16をキャリヤービヒクルに入れる工程が前記のモノマー混合物をキャリヤー ビヒクルに入れる別の工程を含み、且つモノマー16の重合を開始する工程が架 橋剤を活性化する別の工程を含む請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。
- 10.架橋剤を用意する工程が、実質的にモノアクリレート、ジアクリレート、 トリアクリレート、ポリアクリレート、モノアクリルアミド及びこれらの組み合 わせからなる群から選ばれた一員を用意することを含む請求の範囲第9項に記載 の方法。
- 11.基材10が、モノマー混合物14で含浸された場合に、その上に約0.1 〜10重量%のモノマー16を含むように、モノマー16をキャリヤービヒクル に入れる工程が充分なモノマーをキャリヤービヒクルに入れることを含む請求の 範囲第1項に記載の方法。
- 12.モノマー16をキャリヤービヒクルに入れる工程がモノマー16をフルオ ロカーボンビヒクルに入れることを含む請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。
- 13.モノマー16をキャリヤービヒクルに入れる工程がモノマー16を非水性 溶剤の水性エマルションに入れることを含む請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。
- 14.架橋剤を用意する工程が、前記のモノマー混合物の80重量%までの量に 等しい量の架橋剤を用意することを含む請求の範囲第9項に記載の方法。
- 15.架橋剤を用意する工程が、前記のそノマー混合物の50重重%までの量に 等しい量の架橋剤を用意することを含む請求の範囲第9項に記載の方法。
- 16.請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法により調製された撥水性及び撥油性の基材 10であって、 前記の基材10が、前記の処理後に、23ダイン/cm以上の表面張力を有する 溶剤により濡らされず、しかも50mlの水滴に対して60°未満の滑り角度を 示す微孔質の膜を含むことを特徴とする撥水性及び撥油性の基材。
- 17.前記の基材10が、実質的にポリテトラフルオロエチレン、ビニル、ポリ アミド、ポリウレタン、ポリフッ化ビニリデン、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン 、ポリスルホン、ポリ(エーテルスルホン)及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群 から選ばれたポリマーから調製されたポリマー基材である請求の範囲第1項に記 載の方法。
- 18.前記の基材10が、実質的に織物、編物、不織布、紙、皮革及びこれらの 組み合わせからなる群から選ばれた材料から調製される請求の範囲第1項に記載 の方法。
- 19.多孔質膜10; 前記の膜の上に配置されたフルオロアクリレートポリマーの相似被覆物16′を 含み、前記のポリマーが式: (CnF2n+1)(CH2) x(CHR)OCOCH=CH2(式中、nは 整数であり、Xは0、1、2または3であり、且つRはHまたはCH2−OCO CH=CH2である)のモノマー16から誘導されることを特徴とする撥油性及 び撥水性の多孔質膜。
- 20.前記のモノマー16が種々のnの値を有する幾つかの同族体を含み、前記 の同族体の少なくとも5%が少なくとも8であるnの値を有する請求の範囲第1 9項に記載の膜。
- 21.nが8、10または12である請求の範囲第19項に記載の膜。
- 22.前記の相似被置物16′が約20〜100重量%の前記のモノマーと約0 〜80重量%の、実質的にモノアクリレート、ジアクリレート、トリアクリレー ト、ポリアクリレート、了クリルアミド及びこれらの組み合わせからなる群から 選ばれた補助モノマーの混合物から誘導される請求の範囲第19項に記載の膜。
