Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 光透過カバーにより覆われた発光部と受光部と
    を前面に備えたレーザ・レーダヘツドが自動車の
    前面の室外に配設され、前記発光部からレーザ光
    を自車の前方に発光し、先行車により反射された
    反射光を受光部により受光して先行車との車間距
    離を計測し、前記先行車との車間距離が安全車間
    距離以下になると運転者に対して警報を出力する
    自動車の追突警報装置において、 前記レーザ・レーダヘツドの光透過カバーの表
    面を摺動するワイパと、 前記レーザ・レーダヘツドの光透過カバーの汚
    れを検出する汚れ検出手段と、 該汚れ検出手段により汚れが検出された時、前
    記ワイパを駆動する駆動手段と、 を設けたことを特徴とする自動車の追突警報装置
    。
