Abstract
Description
Claims (19)
- 1.1%ないし55%の水溶性結晶質と99%ないし45%の水溶性または水膨 潤性重合物(パーセントは結晶質及び重合物の無水重量に基づくものである)か ら成り、その少なくとも90重量%が1mm以下の大きさであり、かつ、重合物 の単一粒子または重合物の粒子凝集体のいずれかから成る粒体の形である粒状組 成物であって、実質的に個々の粒体が重合物の粒子または粒子凝集体の外表面に 結晶質の実質的に不断の連続被膜を有して成ることを特徴とする組成物。
- 2.前記粒体が、凝集体から成り、そしてこれらの凝集体が、凝集体内の粒子が 前記結晶質で被覆されている水崩壊性凝集体である請求項1記載の組成物。
- 3.実質的に全ての粒体が、その少なくとも80重量%が150μm以下である 重合体粒子の凝集体である請求項2記載の組成物。
- 4.前記粒体の少なくとも90重量%が、100〜700μmの大きさである前 記いずれかの請求項に記載の組成物。
- 5.前記結晶質が、結晶性水和物、無水物の形の水和物及び無機塩から選択され る前記いずれかの請求項に記載の組成物。
- 6.前記結晶質が、硫酸ナトリウム及び炭酸ナトリウムから選択される前記いず れかの請求項に記載の組成物。
- 7.結晶質の量が、5〜30%である前記いずれかの請求項に記載の組成物。
- 8.前記重合物が、0〜100%のアクリルアミドと100〜0%のアクリル酸 、メタクリル酸及び2−アクリルアミドメチルプロバンスルホン酸の水溶性塩、 及びジアルキルアミノアルキル(メタ)アクリレート第四級塩から選択されるイ オン性単量体とを塊状ゲル重合または逆相重合することによって生成された合成 重合体である前記いずれかの請求項に記載の組成物。
- 9.前記結晶質が、結晶性物質の溶液から結晶化することによって得ることがで き、そして、組成物が前記重合物粒子上に前記結晶性物質で少なくとも実質的に 飽和されている水溶液を吸収させて、結晶性物質を重合物粒子上で結晶化させる ことから成る方法によって製造されたものである前記いずれかの請求項に記載の 組成物。
- 10.前記被膜が、結合剤または剥離助剤を実質的に含んでいない前記いずれか の請求項に記載の組成物。
- 11.前記重合物が、水溶性であり、かつ粘性付与剤または凝集剤であり、そし て、4dl/g以上の固有粘度を有し、また、水溶性である前記いずれかの請求 項に記載の組成物。
- 12.前記重合物が、粘性付与剤または凝集剤であり、そして、0.1〜10μ mの大きさの水膨潤性であるが、水不溶性の粒子の形態にある請求項1〜10の いずれかに記載の組成物。
- 13.前記重合物が、その少なくとも90重量%が100μm以上の大きさであ る架橋水膨潤性吸収性重合体である請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 14.請求項9または10記載の粒状組成物を水性媒体に添加し、そして、粒子 を水性媒体に分散させる水性媒体に粘性を付与するかまたは水性媒体を凝集する 方法。
- 15.結晶性物質の水溶液から得た水溶性の結晶質で被覆された少なくとも90 重量%が1mm以下の大きさの水溶性または水膨潤性重合物の被覆粒体を生成す る方法であって、少なくとも90重量%が1mm以下の大きさである粒状の重合 物素材を、少なくとも実質的に飽和している結晶性物質の溶液と混合し、そして 、溶液を粒子に吸着させて結晶性物質を被膜として粒子上で結晶化させ、必要に 応じて得られた素材を乾燥することから成り、溶液の量及び濃度及び混合条件を 選択して、操作中の粒子の凝集が抑制されて、必要に応じて行う乾燥後に得られ た素材中の粒径が少なくとも50重量%が1mm以下になるようにし、必要なら ば、得られた素材をスクリーニングし、少なくとも90重量%が1mm以下であ る生成物を回収する方法。
- 16.前記結晶性物質が、溶融可能な水和物であり、そして、前記粒状重合物を 前記溶融可能な水和物の粒子とブレンドし、ブレンドを水和物の融点以上の温度 に加熱して重合体粒子上で結晶化する無水または低水和物形の水和物の過飽和溶 液を生成する請求項15記載の方法。
- 17.前記結晶性物質を結晶性物質の実質的に飽和または過飽和水溶液として用 意して、重合物粒子素材に徐々に添加する請求項15記載の方法。
- 18.結合剤または剥離助剤が実質的に存在しない状態で行う請求項15〜17 のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 19.溶液の濃縮量が、素材中の水和水を含めて水の全量が30重量%以下にな るようなものである請求項15〜18のいずれかに記載の方法。
