Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a pattern marking method using laser light for transferring and marking a pattern on a sample by a transmission type liquid crystal display device using laser light. . As a conventional technique, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 50-3527 is known.
The laser processing device described in Japanese Patent No. 5 has been known. In the above prior art, a laser beam emitted from a laser oscillator is irradiated onto a mask having a pattern cut out, and the pattern is formed on an object to be processed by an imaging lens. This is a laser processing apparatus that performs image processing such as drilling or engraving, and has the problem that the mask must be replaced each time the pattern is changed. Further, in the above-mentioned conventional technique, there is no consideration in forming an enlarged pattern which is desired to be processed on a workpiece using a mask, and reducing and projecting the enlarged pattern in a large width. An object of the present invention is to display a desired large original image in a region on a transmissive liquid crystal display device having a beam diameter larger than a beam emitted from a laser oscillator and solve the above-mentioned problems of the prior art. A large original image can be immediately replaced with a new original image without damaging the liquid crystal display device and without exchanging the original image. This large original image can be timely projected onto the sample surface as a transmitted laser beam for reduction processing, removal processing, and transfer engraving. The present invention provides a method for marking a pattern by using the laser light. According to the present invention, a desired original image is driven and displayed on a transmissive liquid crystal display device based on original image information input to an input unit, and a laser beam is emitted from a laser oscillator by a control signal. irradiated substantially to the plane of the transmission type liquid crystal display device with a power density over the desired original entire region of the laser beam is displayed on the transmission type liquid crystal display device which is the illuminated 10 4 W / cm 2 or less It is a pattern marking method using a laser beam, which is characterized in that a desired original image displayed on the transmission type liquid crystal display device is made to enter vertically and reduced-projected on a sample by a projection lens to perform removal processing and marking. According to the present invention, the original image information is stored in the storage unit, and the original image information stored in the storage unit is enlarged or reduced to drive and display a desired original image on the transmissive liquid crystal display device.
A laser beam is emitted from a laser oscillator according to a control signal, and the emitted laser beam has a power density of 10 4 W / c over the entire desired original image displayed on the transmission type liquid crystal display device.
The light beam is made to enter substantially perpendicularly to the surface of the transmissive liquid crystal display device at m 2 or less, and a desired original image displayed on the transmissive liquid crystal display device is reduced and projected on a sample by a projection lens to be removed and engraved. It is a method of marking a pattern with laser light. On the other hand, FIG. 1 shows an example in which the inventor has tried in forming various patterns such as a printed circuit board, a wiring pattern for a high-density module, and a photomask. In the figure, a laser beam generated from a laser oscillator 1 or enlarged by a concave lens 3 is collimated by a collimator lens 4 and irradiated on an enlarged original image 5. The laser light that has passed through the magnified original image 5 passes through the projection lens 6 and is focused and irradiated onto the surface of the sample 7. At this time, the projection lens 6 is arranged so that the image of the enlarged original image 5 is reduced and projected onto the surface of the sample 7.
A reduced image of the enlarged original image 5 is instantly printed on the sample surface. However, it is necessary to make an enlarged image of the image to be processed on the sample once in the original image and set it in the optical path, and there is a problem that the enlarged original image must be exchanged whenever the image changes. It was According to the present invention, however, with the above-described configuration, a desired large original image can be displayed in a region on the transmissive liquid crystal display device having a diameter larger than the beam diameter emitted from the laser oscillator without exchanging the original image. A pattern corresponding to a desired large original image can be reduced and projected on a sample and subjected to a removal process for clear and accurate transfer marking without damaging the transmissive liquid crystal display device. Embodiments of the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the drawings. That is, FIG. 2 is a diagram showing an embodiment of the present invention. What is newly provided in the figure is a transmission type liquid crystal display device 10,
Signal control unit 11, image pickup tube 12, image pickup lens 14, original image 1
It is 3. The transmissive liquid crystal display device 10 includes a signal control unit 11
Controlled by. The control at this time is to set which image pattern is to be displayed on the transmissive liquid crystal display device and the display timing. Signal controller 11
The parallel laser light emitted from the collimator lens 4 is incident on the display device 10 controlled by. The laser light incident on the display device 10 is output to the projection lens 6 side of the display device 10 via the position corresponding to the image pattern. The output laser light is applied to the sample 7 via the projection lens 6 to form an image pattern on the sample surface. As is well known in the art, the transmission type liquid crystal display device 10 integrates a deflecting plate, glass, a transparent electrode, a liquid crystal body, a transparent electrode and glass with respect to a laser light incident surface. It has a structure that is formed. 2 above
The two transparent electrodes are arranged so as to form a matrix with each other. The display position is set by the electrodes having the matrix structure. The signal control unit 11 controls the selection of the matrix electrodes. The image pattern displayed on the signal control unit 11 is the original image 13 picked up by the pick-up tube 12. Signal controller 11
The image signal obtained from the image pickup tube 12 is temporarily stored in the memory, and is read from the memory in the display mode and displayed on the display device 10. FIG. 3 shows a specific configuration diagram of the signal control unit 11. First, the video signal from the image pickup tube 12 is input to the signal conversion unit 110 and converted into data that can be stored in the memory 112, for example, a binary signal. The converted video signal is sent to the memory 112 via the writing / reading circuit 111 and stored in the memory 112 according to the address. The memory 112 may have a capacity for one display pattern or a capacity for a plurality of display patterns. At the time of display, the writing / reading circuit 11
The memory 112 is driven by setting 1 as a read mode to read necessary data to the signal conversion unit 113. This signal converter 11
Reference numeral 3 converts the binary signal read from the memory 112 into a signal necessary for driving the liquid crystal display device 10, that is, an X, Y signal. The X and Y signals are sent to the display device 10 to perform the necessary display. The signal conversion units 110 and 113 and the read / write circuit 111 are controlled by the control circuit 114. The control by the control circuit 114 is firstly mode designation and secondly its timing designation. The control circuit 114 also controls the laser oscillator 1. In FIG. 3, control of the monitor TV 15 shown in FIG. 2 is omitted. Next, a description will be given based on specific numerical examples.
The power density of the laser light is selected so as not to damage the liquid crystal.
For example, the beam diameter was set to about 300 mm so as to be 10 4 W / cm 2 or less, and the laser output was 7 MW. The laser beam that passed through the transmission type liquid crystal display device 10 entered a projection lens 6 for projecting a reduction of about 1/100, and a plane image displayed on the liquid crystal was printed on the surface of a sample 7 with a size of 1/100. The maximum power density on the sample surface at this time is about 10 8 W /
reached cm 2 . Sample 7 is about 100Å on the glass substrate
The metal film was removed by irradiation with laser light, and the liquid crystal pattern could be instantly imprinted as it was with a dimension of 1/100. In the above embodiment, the type of the display pattern can be set by other than the optical path, so that the pattern can be formed with extremely high versatility. Furthermore, since the data itself in the memory can be expanded or reduced even when the pattern is expanded or reduced, versatility is enhanced. Next, another embodiment will be described. In the above embodiment, the input information to the signal control unit 11 is given from the image pickup tube 12, but other methods such as those shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 are also available. Figure 4
The video signal recording section 16 is provided and the information from the video signal recording section 16 is given as original image information. In FIG. 5, a video signal is transmitted by a wireless system, and the video signal transmitter 18 wirelessly transmits the video signal to the video signal receiver 17 and further inputs it to the signal control unit 11 as original image information. There is. However, the memory 112 is not always necessary in these two embodiments. According to the former embodiment, by storing the pattern information in the video recording portion, it is possible to form a required pattern at a required time. The latter embodiment is suitable for remote operation when the pattern forming part and the pattern supply part are separated. As described above, according to the present invention, a large original picture (product name, serial number, manufacturing date, etc.) can be handled as an electric signal, and the original picture can be easily replaced.
Moreover, without damaging the transmissive liquid crystal display device, a large original image displayed on the transmissive liquid crystal display device can be reduced and projected to be removed, and a clear and accurate pattern can be transferred and imprinted on a sample. .
