Description
Claims (15)
- 1.車輌用ウインドシールドの外側表面に存在する水滴を検知するための前記ウ インドシールドの内側表面に取り付けられたセンサであって、 前記ウインドシールドの前記内側表面に面した基底面を備えたブロックと、 関連する光源からの人射光を前記ウインドシールドへ伝達するための、前記ブロ ック内の第1の光パイプと、前記ウインドシールドのからの反射光を受け取り、 関連する光検知素子へ前記反射光を伝達するための前記ブロック内の第2の光パ イプと、 前記基底面と前記ウインドシールドの前記内側面との間に配置され、かつ前記基 底面と前記ウインドシールドの前記内側面とに面した複数の粘着性の表面を備え た光伝達中間層とを有し、 前記中間層が、前記ブロックを前記ウインドシールドに接着し、かつ前記第1の 光パイプ及び前記第2の光パイプを前記内側面に光学的に結合することを特徴と するセンサ。
- 2.前記第1の光パイプ及び前記第2の光パイプが前記内側面に面し、かつ前記 中間層に係合する複数の遊端を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセンサ 。
- 3.前記光パイプが、前記ブロックの前記基底面と同一平面にある遊端を有する ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセンサ。
- 4.前記第1の光パイプと前記第2の光パイプの少なくとも一方が、前記ブロッ クの前記基底面から突出する遊端を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセ ンサ。
- 5.前記少なくとも一方の光パイプの前記遊端が、前記ブロックの前記基底面か ら突出する環状フランジを有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載のセンサ。
- 6.前記少なくとも一方の光パイプを囲繞する前記基底面内に画定されると共に その内部に前記環状フランジが位置する凹部を有することを特徴とする請求項5 に記載のセンサ。
- 7.前記遊端が凸状クラウンを有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載のセンサ 。
- 8.前記光パイプの各々が、前記ブロックの前記基底面から突出した前記環状フ ランジを備えた遊端と、前記光パイプの各々を囲繞する前記基底面内に画定され ると共にその内部に前記関連する光パイプの前記環状フランジが位置する凹部と を有し、 前記遊端の各々が、前記中間層に面した凸状クラウンを有することを特徴とする 請求項1に記載のセンサ。
- 9.前記中間層が前記基底面と重合することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセン サ。
- 10.前記中間層の厚さが約20mm未満であることを特徴とする請求項1に記 載のセンサ。
- 11.前記ブロックが、複数の前記第1の光パイプと複数の前記第2の光パイプ とを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセンサ。
- 12.前記ブロックが、該ブロックを通って前記基底面まで延在する互いに角度 を成して配置されたポアを含み、前記光パイプが、前記ポア内に配置され、かつ 前記基底面と同一平面にある複数の遊端を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記 載のセンサ。
- 13.入射光を前記ポア内の関連する一方の光パイプに向けて発する一方の前記 ポア内に配置された光源と、関連する一方の前記光パイプからの反射光を受け取 るための他方の前記ポア内に配置された光検知素子とを有することを特徴とする 請求項12に記載のセンサ。
- 14.人射光を前記ボア内の関連する一方の光パイプに向けて発する一方の前記 ポア内の配置された光源と、関連する一方の前記光パイプからの反射光を受け取 るための他方の前記ポア内に配置された光検知素子とを有することを特徴とする 請求項1に記載のセンサ。
- 15.添付の図面を参照して概ね説明された車輌用ウインドシールドの前記内側 表面に取り付けられたセンサ。
