Claims (7)
- 1.かみそり刃の刃先上にポリフルオロカーボンのコーティングを形成する方法 であって、乾燥粉末の形態の、分子量が少なくとも1,000,000であるフ ルオロカーボン重合体を電離線照射に付すことにより該重合体の分子量を低下さ せ、照射された重合体の揮発性有機液体中の分散液を形成し、前記分散液をかみ そり刃の刃先上に噴霧し、得られたコーティングを加熱してポリフルオロカーボ ンを焼結させることを特徴とする方法。
- 2.電離線の線量が20〜80メガradであることを特徴とする、請求項1に 記載の方法。
- 3.電離線がCo60源からのγ線であることを特徴とする、請求項1または2 に記載の方法。
- 4.ポリフルオロカーボンがポリテトラフルオロエチレンであり、照射を、分子 量約25,000のテロマーが得られる様に行うことを特徴とする、請求項1〜 3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 5.分散液中の照射されたポリフルオロカーボンの平均粒子径が100ミクロン 以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 6.分散液が、約0.5〜0.7重量%の照射された重合体を含むことを特徴と する、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 7.分散液の揮発性有機液体がイソプロパノールであることを特徴とする、請求 項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
