Abstract
Description
Claims (13)
- 1.同時に関与する移動ステーションの集団であって、それぞれのステーション が、複数の幾何学的に分布した既知の位置を有する送信機からの信号を受信する ことにより、その地理学的位置を知り、それぞれの関与ステーションが、自身の 識別名および地理学的位置を示す信号を共通無線チャネルにより送信する送信機 と、他の関与移動ステーションからの受信情報を記憶するメモリ手段とを有する 、前記同時に関与する移動ステーションの集団、を含む位置指示システムにおい て、それぞれの移動ステーションが、 a)前記複数の幾何学的に分布した送信機からの時間信号により正確に制御され るタイムベースであって、該タイムベースが、正規化され、可算的であり、かつ 共通の、正確な、所定の、反復する最大フレームを形成する時間ブロックを画定 する前記タイムベースと、b)それぞれの最大フレーム内の空き時間ブロックを 占有し、その中で位置信号を前記共通無線チャネルにより自発的に送信する手段 と、 を有することを特徴とする、位置指示システム。
- 2.前記共通無線チャネルが、周波数の検出範囲が実質的に視線へ限定される該 周波数を有し、前記複数の幾何学的に分布した送信機が時間信号を発射する人工 衛星を含み、それぞれの関与移動ステーションが、該発射された時間信号を用い て、その地理学的位置と、そのタイムベースを更新するための絶対畦間と、を計 算する手段を有することを特徴とする、請求項1記載の位置指示システム。
- 3.前記移動ステーションが、地球の周囲に分布しうる航空機内に配置されるこ とを特徴とする、請求項2記載の位置指示システム。
- 4.地上ステーションからの送信命令信号を感知し、また該命令信号を受信した 時前記自発送信を中断して、次に前記地上ステーションにより指示された時間ブ ロック内において地上ステーション命令モードで送信する、それぞれの移動ステ ーション内の手段を特徴とする、請求項3記載の位置指示システム。
- 5.それぞれの移動ステーションが、使用される時間ブロックの計画的な配置換 えを行う手段と、他のステーションからの送信か検出されない前記最大フレーム 内の空き時間ブロックを登録するメモリ手段を含む手段と、を備えており、前記 配置換え手段が、前記最大フレーム内において所定の間隔毎に新しい占有されて いない時間ブロックをその送信のために選択することを特徴とする、請求項3記 載の位置指示システム。
- 6.新しく選択された時間ブロック内における送信の前に、それぞれのステーシ ョンが、その現に占有されている時間ブロック内において該新しい占有されてい ないブロックヘスイッチするその意向を送信することを特徴とする、請求項5記 載の位置指示システム。
- 7.占有されていない時間ブロックが検出されない時、地理学的に遠隔位置にあ る移動ステーションにより使用中の時間ブロックを占有するための、それぞれの 移動ステーション内の手段を特徴とする、請求項5記載の位置指示システム。
- 8.それぞれの移動ステーションが、その最も近い近隣の移動ステーションまで の地理学的距離を決定する手段と、前記共通無線チャネル上の負荷を減少させる ために、それぞれの最大フレーム内の送信するための時間ブロックの数を前記距 離の関数として決定する手段と、を有することを特徴とする、請求項1記載の位 置指示システム。
- 9.人工衛星からの前記信号が受信されない時、自身の位置を決定するために、 人工衛星内の前記複数の幾何学的に分布した送信機の1つまたはそれ以上の代わ りに近隣ステーションからの信号を用いる手段を特徴とする、請求項1記載の位 置指示システム。
- 10.前記地上ステーションが、前記人工衛星の故障の場合に同期せしめられた 信号の発射を可能ならしめる、正確な時計を備えていることを特徴とする、組合 わされた請求項4および請求項9、に記載の位置指示システム。
- 11.位置指示システムのための位置決定ステーションにおいて、該ステーシヨ ンが、地理学的位置を供給するために配置されたGPS衛星信号受信機と、該地 理学的位置を無線チャネルによって送信するトランシーバと、を含み、前記ステ ーションが、前記衛星信号受信機(4)と前記トランシーバとに接続された通信 プロセッサ(5)を含み、前記無線チャネルが物理的に制限された範囲を有する 周波数のものであり、前記通信プロセッサが、タイムベース(13)と、該タイ ムベースと前記衛星受信機との間の時間同期接続と、マイクロプロセッサ(10 )と、該タイムベースにより決定される時間ブロック内において前記トランシー バによって受信される位置信号を収集するRAMメモリ(11)と、プログラム メモリ(12)と、データバス(14)と、アドレスバス(15)と、近隣ステ ーションから受信され、前記RAMメモリから取出された位置メッセージを評価 する手段と、自身の位置信号を前記トランシーバヘ、他のステーションにより占 有されていない時間ブロック内におけるそれらの発射のために、自発モードで送 信する手段と、を含むことを特徴とする、位置決定ステーション。
- 12.前記無線チャネルの範囲が実質的に視線へ制限されていることを特徴とす る、請求項11記載の位置決定ステーション。
- 13.地上ステーションからの地上ステーション命令信号を感知し、該命令信号 の受信後、自発送信モードによる代わりに該地上ステーションから命令されたよ うにのみ、前記無線チャネルにより位置信号を送信する手段を特徴とする、請求 項10記載の位置決定ステーション。
