(57)【要約】 【目的】 本管の配管ラインに対して分岐管の接続方向
を適宜調整できる電気融着用分岐管継手を提供する。 【構成】 サドル11の上面に筒体12を突設したサド
ル継手1と、継手本体21の途中に枝管22を突設した
分岐継手2とからなり、前記継手本体21の下端部にサ
ドル継手1の筒体12が回動可能に嵌挿される受口21
1を設け、該受口211の内周面に電熱線2aを埋設す
る。 【効果】 分岐管の接続方向を適宜調整でき、現場での
施工作業が簡単かつ確実に行なえる

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、ガス管や給水管等の合
成樹脂製本管から分岐管を取り出す際に使用する電気融
着用分岐管継手に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】ガス管や給水管等の合成樹脂製本管から
分岐管を取り出す場合、継手本体の下端部にサドルを設
けると共に、継手本体の途中に枝管を突設した分岐管継
手が使用されており、現場での配管施工の際には継手本
体のサドルを本管の外周面に接続すると共に、枝管に分
岐管を接続していた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、この従
来継手は本管に接続するサドルと、分岐管に接続する枝
管とが継手本体と一体的に結合した構成となっているた
め、本管の配管ラインに対して分岐管の接続方向を調整
できないという問題があった。
【0004】本発明はかかる課題を解決したものであっ
て、本管の配管ラインに対して分岐管の接続方向を適宜
調整できる電気融着用分岐管継手を提供するものであ
る。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は、サドルの上面
に筒体を突設したサドル継手と、継手本体の途中に枝管
を突設した分岐継手とからなり、前記継手本体の下端部
にサドル継手の筒体が回動可能に嵌挿される受口を設け
ると共に、該受口の内周面に所定間隔をって電熱線を埋
設したことを特徴とする。

【作用】サドル継手と分岐継手とを別体構造にして回動
可能に嵌挿したので、本管から分岐管を取り出すとき、
本管の配管ラインに対して分岐管の接続方向を適宜調整
できる。また、サドル継手の筒体が嵌挿される継手本体
の受口内周面に電熱線を埋設したので、該電熱線に通電
して発熱させるだけで両者を強固に融着接合できる。

【実施例】以下、本発明の実施例を図面にて詳細に説明
する。図1は本発明の一実施例を示す電気融着用分岐管
継手の断面図である。図中1はサドル継手、2は分岐継
手、3はキャップ、P1 は本管、P2 は分岐管であっ
て、これらの部材はポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポ
リブテン等の合成樹脂で形成されている。
【0008】サドル継手1はサドル11の上面に筒体1
2を突設したものであって、サドル11の下面は本管P
1 の外周面とほぼ等しい曲率で湾曲しており、該湾曲面
に電熱線1aが所定間隔で埋設さている。
【0009】一方、分岐継手2は円筒状の継手本体21
の途中に枝管22を突設したものであって、継手本体2
1の下端部には前記サドル継手1の筒体12が回動可能
に嵌挿される受口211が設けられている。受口211
の内周面には所定間隔をって電熱線2aが埋設さてお
り、該電熱線2aの両端部は継手本体21の外周に突設
した端子ピンと接続している。電熱線2aの近傍位置に
はインジケータ210が設けられており、該インジケー
タ210の突出度合から受口211の溶融状態を目視で
きるようになっている。
【0010】前記継手本体21の上端部には雄ねじ21
2が設けられており、該雄ねじ212にキャップ3の雌
ねじが螺合している。また、継手本体21の上端部外周
に設けた環状溝213にシールパッキン4が装着されて
おり、該パッキン4がキャップ3の内周面と密接して継
手本体21の上端部を閉塞している。
【0011】次に、この電気融着用分岐管継手を用いて
本管P1 から分岐管P2 を取り出す作業手順を説明す
る。まず、サドル継手1のサドル11を本管P1 の外周
面に押し付け、電熱線1aに通電して本管P1 の所定位
置にサドル継手1を融着接合する。尚、サドル継手1と
連通する本管P1 の貫通孔は、本管P1 にサドル継手1
を融着接合する前に予め穿設しておいてもよく、本管P
1 にサドル継手1を融着接合してから穿設してもよい。
【0012】次に、前記サドル継手1の筒体12に分岐
継手2の受口211を嵌挿し、枝管22の接続方向を適
宜調整しつつ分岐管P2 の端部を枝管22に接続する。
そこで、前記受口211の内周面に埋設されている電熱
線2aに通電して発熱させ、筒体12の外周面と受口2
11の内周面を同時に溶融させて融着接合する。最後
に、分岐継手2の上端部にキャップ3を螺合して配管施
工が完了する。

【発明の効果】以上詳述した如く、本発明の電気融着用
分岐管継手は、サドル継手と分岐継手とを別体構造にし
て回動可能に嵌挿したので、本管から分岐管を取り出す
とき、分岐管の接続方向を適宜調整することができる。
また、サドル継手の筒体が嵌挿される継手本体の受口内
周面に電熱線を埋設したので、該電熱線に通電して発熱
させるだけで両者を強固に融着接合することができ、現
場での施工作業が簡単かつ確実に行なえる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 サドル(11)の上面に筒体(12)を
    突設したサドル継手(1)と、継手本体(21)の途中
    に枝管(22)を突設した分岐継手(2)とからなり、
    前記継手本体(21)の下端部にサドル継手(1)の筒
    体(12)が回動可能に嵌挿される受口(211)を設
    けると共に、該受口(211)の内周面に所定間隔をっ
    て電熱線(2a)を埋設したことを特徴とする電気融着
    用分岐管継手。
