Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.媒体の凝固相の表面に入射する放射線を介して所定の光反応を生じるように 該液体媒体に付加される、耐久性を有する高彩度の薄膜小板堆積体であって、 前記小板が、第1及び第2の外表面を備えると共に、第1及び第2の表面を 有する金属反射層と、該金属反射層の表面の少なくとも一方上に配置される多層 干渉薄膜構造と、を備え、 前記多層干渉薄膜構造の各層が、平行な平面内に在り、前記多層干渉薄膜構 造が、各層平面に平行な面と層平面に垂直な面とに関し少なくとも2:1のアス ペクト比を有する表面を備え、前記小板が、任意の面上で、約2乃至200ミク ロンの最大寸法を有する、 ことを特徴とする干渉小板の堆積体。 2.前記小板のそれぞれが、小板に対称薄膜干渉構造を付与するために、金属反 射層の第1及び第2の表面にそれぞれ、多層干渉薄膜構造を備えた、 ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項記載の堆積体。 3.前記第1の表面上の多層干渉薄膜構造が、前記第2の表面上の多層干渉薄膜 構造における対応する層と同じ厚さの層を有し、それにより、前記小板の第1及 び第2の外表面が同一の色を呈する、 ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第2項記載の堆積体。 4.前記第1の表面上の多層干渉薄膜構造が、前記第2の表面上の多層干渉薄膜 構造における対応する層とは厚さが異なる層を有し、それにより、前記小板の第 1及び第2の外表面が異なる色を呈する、 ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第2項記載の堆積体。 5.前記小板が、複数の金属−誘電体層から成る多層干渉薄膜構造を有する、 ことを特徴とする請求の範囲 1項記載の堆積体。 6.前記金属反射層が、半透明であり、80乃至300Åの厚さを有する、 ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項記載の堆積体。 7.前記金属反射層が、不透明であり、350Å以上の厚さを有する、 ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項記載の堆積体。 8.前記金属−誘電体層が、400ナノメートルの設計波長で少なくとも2/4 波長の厚さを有する誘電体層を含む、 ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第5項記載の堆積体。 9.前記金属−誘電体層が、700ナノメートルの設定波長で6/4波長の最大 厚さを有する誘電体層を含む、 ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第5項記載の堆積体。 10.添加剤と共に、非干渉顔料、非干渉染料、及び干渉系顔料のうち一つ以上を 含む、 ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項記載の堆積体。 11.液体のポリマ塗料媒体と、該液体媒体内に分散させた複数の干渉小板とを含 む高彩度耐久塗料であって、 前記小板がそれぞれ、第1及び第2の表面を有する金属反射体と複数の干渉 薄膜層とから成る多層干渉薄膜構造を備え、 前記小板が、各層平面に平行な面の最長平面寸法と小板の厚さとに関し少な くとも2:1のアスペクト比を有し、 前記小板が、任意の面上で、約2乃至200ミクロンの最大寸法を有する、 ことを特徴とする高彩度耐久塗料。 12.前記薄膜干渉層が、金属−誘電体層である、 ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第11項記載の塗料。 13.前記金属−誘電体層が、入射角の変化に伴い光学的変化を付与する設計波長 厚さとn<2.0の屈折率とを有する誘電体層を含む、 ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第12項記載の塗料。 14.前記金属−誘電体層が、入射角の変化に伴って色を変化させない単一色を付 与する設計波長厚さとn>2.0の屈折率とを有する誘電体層を含む、 ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第12項記載の塗料。 15.前記液体媒体が、凝固して表面を有し、 前記凝固した液体媒体内の前記小板が、前記凝固した液体媒体の前記表面に 略平行な平面内に位置する最長平面寸法を有する表面を備えた、 ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第11項記載の塗料。 16.高彩度耐久塗料に使用される干渉小板を形成する方法であって、 第1及び第2の面を有する金属反射層を形成し、 前記金属反射層の一方の面上に少なくとも一つの多層干渉薄膜スタックを形 成して干渉構造を構成し、 前記干渉スタックを、10分乃至24時間、200乃至300°Cの温度に 晒す、 ことを特徴とする方法。 17.更に、前記干渉構造を、2乃至200ミクロンの範囲内の寸法まで減少させ て、小板を形成する工程を含む、 ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第16項記載の方法。
