Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 塩素含有の酸化鉄から塩素を除去するに際し: (a) 塩素含有の酸化鉄を結晶水を含有する水和金属化合物と混合し、前記水 和金属化合物は50〜1400℃の温度で分解して結晶水を放出し; (b) 混合物を水和金属化合物の分解温度より30℃低い温度から分解温度よ り1000℃高い温度に至る範囲の温度まで: (i) 水和金属化合物に含有される結晶水の少なくとも1部を放出するのに充 分であり、かつ (ii) 前記塩素含有の酸化鉄における塩素含有量の10〜99.9重量%の減 少を容易化させるのに充分 である時間にわたり加熱する ことを特徴とする塩素含有の酸化鉄から塩素を除去する方法。 2. 前記水和金属化合物が500重量ppm未満の塩素を含有する請求の範囲 第1項に記載の方法。 3. 結晶水を含有する前記水和金属化合物を水和K2O、水和Cr2O2、水和 BaO、水和NiO、水和ZnO、水和MgO、水和MnO、水和CuO、水和 CoOおよび黄色酸化鉄よりなる群から選択する請求の範囲第2項に記載の方法 。 4. 結晶水を含有する前記水和金属化合物が黄色酸化鉄である請求の範囲第3 項に記載の方法。 5. 塩素含有の酸化鉄が800〜20,000 ppmの塩素を含む請求の範 囲第1項に記載の方法。 6. 前記塩素含有の酸化鉄が、鋼材酸洗から発生する塩酸廃液から生じて80 0〜5000重量ppmの塩素を含む再生酸化鉄である請求の範囲第1項に記載 の方法。 7. 工程(a)にて前記水和金属化合物と混合する前記水和金属化合物の量が 混合物の全重量に対し1〜90重量%であり、1〜90重量%の水を混合物に添 加し、混合を10〜10,000 kPaの圧力および0〜200℃の温度にて 行い、さらに工程(b)にて前記混合物を1分間〜72時間にわたり10〜10 00 kPaの圧力にて酸化鉄の焼成を生ぜしめる温度で加熱する請求の範囲第 1項に記載の方法。 8. 再生酸化鉄が鋼材酸洗から発生する塩酸廃液から生じた、800〜500 0重量ppmの塩素を含む前記再生酸化鉄から塩素を除去するに際し: (a) 再生酸化鉄を結晶水を含有する3〜25重量%の黄色酸化鉄と混合し、 前記黄色酸化鉄は150〜350℃の温度で分解して結晶水を放出することによ り第1混合物を生成し; (b) 工程(a)から得られた前記第1混合物に1〜90重量%の水を添加し て第2混合物を生成させ; (c) 工程(b)からの第2混合物を、黄色酸化鉄の分解温度から黄色酸化鉄 の分解温度より800℃高い温度に至る範囲の温度まで10〜1000 kPa の圧力にて15分間〜10時間にわたり加熱し、前記加熱は: (i) 水和金属化合物に含有される結晶水の少なくとも1部を放出させるのに 充分であると共に、 (ii) 前記塩素含有の酸化鉄における塩素含有量の20〜99.9重量%の減 少を容易化させるのに充分である ことを特徴とする再生酸化鉄からの塩素の除去方法。 9. 黄色酸化鉄の塩素含有量が100重量ppm未満、好ましくは10重量p pm未満であり、工程(a)における黄色酸化鉄の量が5〜15重量%であり、 工程(b)における水の量が5〜50重量%であり、工程(c)が工程(b)か らの第2混合物を最初に150〜170℃の範囲の温度まで加熱し、次いで混合 物を750〜900℃の温度まで50〜500 kPaの圧力にて30分間〜2 時間にわたり加熱することよりなる請求の範囲第8項に記載の方法。
