Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:Phenylacetohydroxamic acid derivative of formula I (R is lower alkoxy, phenyl; X is O, S).
EXAMPLE: 0-Ethyl-0-[1-allyloxyimino-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-methyl] thiocarbonate.
USE: Acaricide, they are effective against red spiders living on trees, especially killing eggs, larvae and imagoes of Panonychus citri and ulmi.
PREPARATION: The reaction of a metal salt of N-allyloxy-α-isopropyl-4-chlorophenylacetamide with a halide of formula II is conducted in an inert solvent to give the compound of formula I.
