Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:A derivative of aminothiophenol of formuls I (X and Y=halogen; Z=H, or a group of formula II).
EXAMPLE: Bis-(3-chloro-2-chloroacetylaminophenyl)disulfide.
USE: Herbicides. Effective for biennial weeds as well as annual weeds.
PROCESS: A compound of formula I is obtained by the reaction of an aminothiophenol of formula III (A=H, a group of formula IV) with a reactive derivative of a halogenated acetic acid of formula V.
