Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a control system for controlling operation of steam turbine, in which there is provided a linkage that is actuated in response to the higher one of speed signals afforded from a primary turbine and a secondary turbine, so as to control speed rise of steam turbine.
CONSTITUTION: Primary turbine Ia consists of a high-pressure turbine 1 and a medium-pressure turbine 3, whereas seondary turbine IIa consists of low-pressure turbines 2, 4. In raising the speed of primary turbine Ia, control rod 20 is closed to actuate a pilot valve connected to valve rod 30 and to thereby close intercept valve 12, thus effecting control for the speed of primary turbine. On the other hand, when speed of secondary turbine IIa is raised, intercept valve 12 is closed by means of control rod 25, connecting rod 27, lever 28, rotatable shaft 23, lever 29 and valve rod 30. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to prevent abnormal acceleration of the primary turbine and the secondary turbine.
