Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve distribution and response of fuel in cylinders even when an engine is in operation with a reduced amount of suction air, by directing fuel from a fuel injection valve to a manifold junction connected with a mixing chamber.
CONSTITUTION: The downstream of a Venturi tube 10 of air supply shell 1 is split to primary and secondary air supply shells 6, 7 and connected with a mixing chamber 2. The chamber 2 is connected, at its bottom, with a manifold junction 3, and each suction pipe branched off the junction 3 is connected with each cylinder of an engine 5. An injection nozzle of a fuel injection valve 11 is set downstream a primary throttle valve 12 of the primary air supply shell 6, so that fuel injected through the nozzle flows toward the manifold junction 3. Accordingly the cylinder 4 is quickly supplied with an adequate amount of fuel in compliance with the load of the engine 5.
