Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the junction operation of a microwave IC by providing a spiral inductor having partly a region containing an interval between lines less than three times of its width and wiring more than two junction lines between semiconductor elements in one direction.
CONSTITUTION: It is heretofore common sense to isolate the interval between lines longer than three times of its width to suppress a coupling between the lines. It is found according to an experiment that an inductor can be designed as predetermined without considering the adverse effect of coupling between the lines for 1∼10GHz even if the interval and the width are formed in the same degree (20∼50μm). Thus, the inductor can be reduced in its size, and increased in its degree of freedom for setting the inductor. Accordingly, though a microwave IC numbers of junction points are imcorporated, small inductors are provided by considering the disposition with respect to other elements to wire thereby in one direction to facilitate wiring.
