Abstract

USE: Medicine having an activity of accelerating absorption from digestive tracts, in particular, from rectum.
PROCESS: A dehydrative condensation reaction between an organic aminocarboxylic or aminosulfonic acid of formula II and acetoacetic acid, its ester or amide of formula III is conducted in a solvent such as ethanol or ether to give the compound of formula I.
