Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula [R is H or acetyl; R1 is substituted aminoalkyl; -NHR1 may be a heterocyclic group (peperidino, N-substituted piperazino, morpholino, etc.)] and its acid addition salt.
EXAMPLE: 2,3-Trans-3,4-trans-4-morhpolinoflavan-3-ol.
USE: An antiarrhythmic, diuretic anticonvulsant, antiulcer, etc.
PROCESS: 2,3-Trans-flav-3-ene epoxide is reacted with not less than equimolar quantity of an amine at 60W100°C for 1W3hr, to give a compound wherein R is H. This compound is reacted with an ordinary acetylating agent (e.g., acetic anhydride, or acetyl chloride) in an organic solvent, chloroform, pyridine, etc. at room temperature for 5W16hr, to give a compound shown by the formula wherein R is acetyl.
