PURPOSE:To generate an excellent video signal by synthesizing signals obtained by successively scanning the photoelectric surfaces of image pickup tubes by utilizing several small size image pickup tubes which are obtained easily. CONSTITUTION:Horizontal deflected scanning of electron beams of image pickup tubes 1 constituting image pickup units 100L, 100S and 100R are switched successively. Video signals generated by the image pickup units 100L, 100S and 100R are supplied to one side of input terminals of AND circuits 26L, 26S and 26R. Further, gate signals GL, GS and GR from the output terminals 23e, 23f and 23g of a control signal generator 23 are supplied to the other side of input terminals of the circuits 26L, 26S and 26R. Therefore, said video signals appear at the output sides of the circuits 26L, 26S and 26R, and the sum signal S of those video signals appears at an output terminal 27. The video signal S is obtained by scanning the photoelectric surfaces of the image pickup tube 1 with the electron beams, and supplied to a three-dimensional video device 30 to be reproduced.
