Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a phenolic resin molding material capable of giving moldings having good heat radiation, by adding a metal piece to a phenolic resin.
CONSTITUTION: About 5W20% metal pieces (e.g., powdered or flaky aluminum) having grain size of about 10 mesh or less is added to a novolak or resol type phenolic resin obtained by the reaction of a (modified) phenol and an aldehyde (in the case of novolak type resin, about 6W20wt% hexamethylenetetramine is added as a curing agent). As the other additives, usual filler, mold releasing agent, colorant, etc., are used.
