  1. 加熱炉に炉心管を内装し、該炉心管内に光フア
    イバ母材を設置し、該光フアイバ母材を前記炉心
    管を介して加熱しながら延伸する光フアイバ母材
    延伸装置において、前記炉心管が、その内径を長
    手方向に従つて変化させた形状になつていること
    を特徴とする光フアイバ母材延伸装置。
