【考案の詳細な説明】
本考案はクランク軸が垂直の所謂バーチカル型
の汎用内燃機関における強制空冷のための導風装
置に関するものである。

この種の内燃機関は、クランク軸１で回転する
フライホイール２と一体のフアン３、そのフアン
３を含めて機関の上部を覆う導風カバー４を備
え、フアン３によつてカバー４内に導入した冷却
風を、カバー４に案内させてシリンダブロツク５
を吹付けるようにしている。

上記導風カバー４は導入された風をシリンダブ
ロツク５に無駄なく送るように、シリンダブロツ
ク５と反対側の側面を、第２図鎖線示４Ａのよう
にフライホイール２・フアン３の略半周に沿つた
円弧面にする必要がある。

又上記バーチカル型汎用内燃機関は重量バラン
スを保つため、燃料タンク６をシリンダブロツク
５と反対側に配置する必要があるけれども、その
タンク６が露出していては外観体裁が悪いので、
一般に、タンク６を導風カバー４の内側に配置し
ている。

ところがタンク形状が単なる直方体或は水筒形
などであるため、フライホイール２・フアン３と
タンク６との間に、前記鎖線示４Ａの線に沿つて
円弧状隔壁を設けている。その円弧状隔壁は導風
カバー４と一体成形、或は別物を取付けるので、
何れの場合もカバーの構造が複雑で製作を困難に
している。

本考案は従来のバーチカル型汎用内燃機関の強
制空冷用導風装置が持つている上記の問題点を解
決することを目的とするもので、導風カバー４の
内側で、クランクケース７を中央にしてシリンダ
ブロツク５と反対側に燃料タンク６を配置し、フ
ライホイール２・フアン３の周面に対向している
燃料タンク６の側面６Ａを、フライホイール２・
フアン３の周面に沿つた凹弧面に形成して冷却風
の旋回案内面とすると共に、その燃料タンク６の
冷却風旋回案内面６Ａの下部を、フライホイール
２・冷却フアン３の下側に出つ張らせて段部６Ｂ
を形成したことを要旨とする。
制空冷用導風装置が持つている上記の問題点を解
決することを目的とするもので、導風カバー４の
内側で、クランクケース７を中央にしてシリンダ
ブロツク５と反対側に燃料タンク６を配置し、フ
ライホイール２・フアン３の周面に対向している
燃料タンク６の側面６Ａを、フライホイール２・
フアン３の周面に沿つた凹弧面に形成して冷却風
の旋回案内面とすると共に、その燃料タンク６の
冷却風旋回案内面６Ａの下部を、フライホイール
２・冷却フアン３の下側に出つ張らせて段部６Ｂ
を形成したことを要旨とする。

てクランクケース７に取付けられる。

り、クランクケース７の周面に沿つて下向きに流
れようとする冷却風は、タンク６の凹弧面６Ａの
下部の段部６Ｂに遮られ、導入された冷却風の大
部分がカバー４の内側面に沿いながらシリンダブ
ロツク５に向つて流れる。

ロツク５に向つて流れる。
本考案導風装置は上記のように、導風カバー４
の内側に配置した燃料タンク６の冷却フアンの周
面に対向している側面６Ａを冷却風の旋回案内面
に利用したから、冷却風がタンク６と反対側にあ
るシリンダブロツク５に向つて良く流れ、燃料タ
ンク６は導風カバー４に覆われて外観体裁が良い
と共に、そのカバー４の内側に冷却風案内用の隔
壁を設ける必要がなくてカバー４の形状構造が簡
単になる。又燃料タンク６はシリンダブロツク５
の熱の影響を受けることがなく、タンク６に直接
冷却風が当るので、タンク内の燃料の温度上昇を
抑制する効果もある。

本考案導風案内装置は更に燃料タンク６の冷却
風旋回案内面６Ａの下部を、フライホイール２・
冷却フアン３の下側に出つ張らせて段部６Ｂを形
成したから、冷却風が直接クランクケース７の周
面に沿つて下方に逃げるのを防ぐことができて、
冷却風が無駄なくシリンダブロツク６の方へ送ら
れる効果がある。
風旋回案内面６Ａの下部を、フライホイール２・
冷却フアン３の下側に出つ張らせて段部６Ｂを形
成したから、冷却風が直接クランクケース７の周
面に沿つて下方に逃げるのを防ぐことができて、
冷却風が無駄なくシリンダブロツク６の方へ送ら
れる効果がある。
第１図は本考案導風装置を備えたバーチカル型
汎用内燃機関の一部縦断側面図、第２図はその一
部横断平面図。 １はクランク軸、２はフライホイール、３はフ
アン、４は導風カバー、５はシリンダブロツク、
６は燃料タンク、７はクランクケース、６Ａはタ
ンクの凹弧状側面、６Ｂはタンクの段部。

Claims (1)
- 導風カバーの内側で、クランクケースを中央に
してシリンダブロツクと反対側に燃料タンクを配
置し、冷却フアンの周面に対向している燃料タン
クの側面を、その冷却フアンの周面に沿つた凹弧
面に形成して冷却風の旋回案内面とすると共に、
その燃料タンクの冷却風旋回案内面の下部を、フ
ライホイール・冷却フアンの下側に出つ張らせて
段部を形成したバーチカル型汎用内燃機関の導風
装置。
