Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a composition, having excellent impact resilience and suitable as a material, such as covering material for curled cord, by blending a vinyl chloride based polymer with a plasticizer therefor, thermoplastic polyester elastomer and metallic salt of montanic acid. CONSTITUTION:A composition obtained by blending (A) 100pts.wt. vinyl chloride based polymer with (B) 30-200pts.wt. plasticizer (e.g. dibutyl phthalate or epoxidized soybean oil) for the vinyl chloride based polymer, (C) 30-200pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester elastomer, e.g. elastomer consisting of thermoplastic segments, containing long-chain ester units derived from a poly(alkylene oxide) glycol having 600-6,000mol.wt. and a dicarboxylic acid having <300mol.wt. and short chain ester units derived from a dicarboxylic acid with <250mol.wt. and having >=0.7 intrinsic viscosity and (D) a metallic salt of montanic acid (preferably sodium salt) in an amount of 0.05-3pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. component (C).
