Abstract
PURPOSE:To properly control an air-fuel ratio during the starting, by a method wherein, based on an effective pressure shown in Fig calculated from outputs from an in-cylinder pressure sensor and a crank angle sensor, initial explosion is decided, and the starting, initial explosion, and complete explosion are properly grasped. CONSTITUTION:Detecting values from a key switch 1d, an airflow meter 4, an in-cylinder pressure sensor 11, and a crank angle sensor 14 are inputted to a control means 16. The control means 16 calculates on average effective pressure shown in Fig per one cycle based on outputs from the in-cylinder pressure sensor 11 and the crank angle sensor 14, Even when the key switch 1d is turned ON and the effective pressure shown in Fig is below or exceeds a reference value, when the state is not continued during a given cycle, an air-fuel ratio is enriched by an equivalent in order to promote the starting. When a state in which the average effective pressure shown in Fig exceeds a given value is continued during a given cycle or more, it is decided that initial explosion enters, an air-fuel ratio is further leaned than that during the starting, and the feed of fuel required for warming up is performed.
