Abstract
상기의 목적을 달성하기 위해, 하우징의 기기 외측에 엔드 플레이트가 배치되는 동시에 엔드 플레이트의 기기 외측에 샤프트에 연결된 플라이 휠이 배치되어 있는 엔진 리어부에 장착되는 엔진 리어 시일로서, 오일 시일과, 오일 시일의 기기 외측에 배치되는 흙탕물 방지용 시일을 가진다. 흙탕물 방지용 시일은, 부착부와, 부착부로부터 직경방향 외측을 향해 설치되어 엔드 플레이트의 기기 외측 단면에 슬라이딩 가능하게 밀착 접촉하는 시일 립을 일체로 가진다. 시일 립은, 경사면 형상의 립 단 배면부를 가지며, 또한 저속 회전시에 립 단이 엔드 플레이트에 접촉하는 동시에 고속 회전시에 원심력의 작용에 의해 립 단이 엔드 플레이트로부터 이격되는 구조를 가진다.

Claims (2)
- 하우징의 기기 외측에 엔드 플레이트가 배치되는 동시에 상기 엔드 플레이트의 더욱 기기 외측에 샤프트에 연결된 플라이 휠이 배치되어 있는 엔진 리어부에 장착되는 엔진 리어 시일로서,
상기 하우징의 축 구멍 내주에 장착되어 상기 샤프트의 둘레면에 슬라이딩 가능하게 밀착 접촉하는 오일 시일과, 상기 오일 시일의 기기 외측에 배치되는 흙탕물 방지용 시일을 가지며,
상기 흙탕물 방지용 시일은, 상기 샤프트의 둘레면 상에 부착되는 부착부와, 상기 부착부로부터 직경방향 외측을 향해 설치되어 상기 엔드 플레이트의 기기 외측 단면(端面)에 슬라이딩 가능하게 밀착 접촉하는 시일 립을 일체로 가지며,
상기 시일 립은, 상기 엔드 플레이트의 기기 외측 단면으로부터 멀어짐에 따라 외경(外徑) 사이즈가 작아지는 방향의 경사면 형상으로 형성된 립 단(端) 배면부를 가지며,
또한 상기 시일 립은, 상기 샤프트의 저속 회전시에 립 단이 상기 엔드 플레이트의 기기 외측 단면에 접촉하는 동시에 상기 샤프트의 고속 회전시에 원심력의 작용에 의해 상기 립 단이 상기 엔드 플레이트의 기기 외측 단면으로부터 이격되는 구조를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 엔진 리어 시일. - 제 1항에 있어서,
상기 흙탕물 방지용 시일은, 상기 플라이 휠과의 사이의 축방향 틈새가 3mm 이하로 설정된 상기 엔드 플레이트의 내주측에서 상기 샤프트의 둘레면 상에 부착되는 것을 특징으로 하는 엔진 리어 시일.
