Claims (29)
- 액체 샘플을 보관하고 운반하도록 구성된 전달 모듈이며,
중심 챔버를 에워싸는 내측 하우징; 및
재킷의 외측 표면을 따른 패턴화된 리지 - 패턴화된 리지는 전달 모듈이 패턴화된 리지와 접촉하게 되는 엔클로저 내에 배치될 때, 재킷의 외측 표면을 따라 복수의 밸브 영역을 형성하도록 구성됨 -; 및 재킷 및 내측 하우징을 통해 중심 챔버 내로 연장하는 복수의 포트를 포함하는, 내측 하우징 둘레에 형성된 재킷
을 포함하고,
복수의 밸브 영역들 중 하나는 복수의 밸브 영역 내의 다른 영역으로부터 분리되어 가압되도록 구성되는,
전달 모듈. - 제1항에 있어서, 복수의 밸브 영역들 중 하나가 가압될 때, 복수의 포트들 중 하나 이상을 거쳐 중심 챔버 내로 또는 그의 외부로 유체의 유동이 발생하는 전달 모듈.
- 제1항에 있어서, 패턴화된 리지는 전달 모듈을 둘러싸는 하우징의 적어도 2개의 포트와 정렬되는 재킷의 외측 표면 상의 영역을 형성하며 유체가 적어도 2개의 포트들 사이에서 유동하게 허용하도록 추가로 구성되는 전달 모듈.
- 제1항에 있어서, 내측 하우징 및 재킷은 단일 사출 성형 유닛으로서 형성되는 전달 모듈.
- 제1항에 있어서, 복수의 포트는 전달 모듈의 측면을 따라 그리고 전달 모듈의 상부를 따라 배열되는 전달 모듈.
- 제1항에 있어서, 복수의 패턴화된 리지는 환상 형상을 갖는 전달 모듈.
- 제1항에 있어서, 복수의 포트들 중 적어도 하나는 중심 챔버 내의 최저 지점에 위치되는 전달 모듈.
- 제7항에 있어서, 중심 챔버 내의 벽들은 중심 챔버 내의 액체를 복수의 포트들 중 적어도 하나를 통해 적절하게 배출하기 위해 경사지는 전달 모듈.
- 제1항에 있어서, 중심 챔버 내에 배치된 교반 막대를 추가로 포함하는 전달 모듈.
- 제1항에 있어서, 중심 챔버의 하나의 단부를 밀봉하도록 구성되며 중심 챔버 내에서 경사 구조를 갖는 뚜껑을 추가로 포함하는 전달 모듈.
- 제10항에 있어서, 경사 구조물은 중심 챔버 내의 액체를 복수의 포트들 중 하나 이상으로 유도하도록 구성된 복수의 채널을 포함하는 전달 모듈.
- 테스트 카트리지를 이용하는 방법이며,
중심 챔버를 갖는 전달 모듈의 제1 포트를 제1 챔버의 포트에 정렬시키기 위해 전달 모듈을 측방향으로 병진 이동시키는 단계;
샘플을 제1 압력차에 의해 제1 챔버로부터 중심 챔버 내로 흡인하는 단계;
전달 모듈의 제2 포트를 제2 챔버의 포트에 정렬시키기 위해 전달 모듈을 측방향으로 병진 이동시키는 단계; 및
샘플을 제2 압력차에 의해 중심 챔버로부터 제2 챔버 내로 흡인하는 단계
를 포함하는 방법. - 제12항에 있어서, 제1 챔버 내로 도입된 샘플을 제1 챔버 내에 배치된 완충제와 혼합시키는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 제1 챔버로부터 중심 챔버 내로 흡인된 샘플을 중심 챔버 내에 이미 존재하는 액체와 혼합시키는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 샘플을 보유하는 스왑을 통해 샘플을 제1 챔버로 도입하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서,
샘플을 제2 챔버 내에서 처리하는 단계;
샘플을 제3 압력차에 의해 제2 챔버로부터 중심 챔버 내로 흡인하는 단계;
전달 모듈의 제2 포트를 제3 챔버의 포트에 정렬시키기 위해 전달 모듈을 측방향으로 병진 이동시키는 단계;
샘플을 제4 압력차에 의해 중심 챔버로부터 제3 챔버 내로 흡인하는 단계; 및
제3 챔버 내에 있을 때 샘플들의 하나 이상의 정성(quality)을 측정하는 단계
를 추가로 포함하는 방법. - 제16항에 있어서, 측정 단계는 형광 신호를 광학적으로 측정하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제16항에 있어서, 측정 단계는 흡수율(absorbance)을 광학적으로 측정하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제16항에 있어서, 샘플을 제2 챔버 내로 흡인하거나 샘플을 제3 챔버 내로 흡인한 후에 샘플을 가열하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 전달 모듈의 제1 포트를 하나 이상의 챔버의 다양한 포트와 정렬시키기 위해 전달 모듈을 측방향으로 병진 이동시키는 것을 반복하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법.
- 제20항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 액체를 하나 이상의 압력차에 의해 하나 이상의 챔버로부터 중심 챔버 내로 흡인하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 전달 모듈의 제2 포트를 하나 이상의 챔버의 다양한 포트와 정렬시키기 위해 전달 모듈을 측방향으로 병진 이동시키는 것을 반복하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법.
- 제22항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 액체를 하나 이상의 압력차에 의해 하나 이상의 챔버로부터 중심 챔버 내로 흡인하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법.
- 제22항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 액체를 하나 이상의 압력차에 의해 중심 챔버로부터 하나 이상의 챔버 내로 흡인하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서,
샘플을 제2 챔버 내에서 처리하는 단계;
샘플을 제3 압력차에 의해 제2 챔버로부터 중심 챔버 내로 흡인하는 단계;

제4 챔버 내에 있을 때 샘플들의 하나 이상의 정성을 측정하는 단계
를 추가로 포함하는 방법. - 제12항에 있어서, 샘플을 제2 챔버 내로 흡인하는 단계는 샘플을 필터를 통해 유동시키는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 샘플을 제2 챔버 내로 흡인하는 단계는 샘플을 유체 분할기를 통해 하나 이상의 하위 챔버 내로 유동시키는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 자석 교반 막대로 중심 챔버 내에서 샘플을 혼합하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 방법.
- 테스트 카트리지를 이용하는 방법이며,
전달 모듈의 외측 표면 상의 구조물을 제1 챔버와 관련된 제1 포트 및 제2 챔버와 관련된 제2 포트와 정렬시키기 위해 하우징 내에서 전달 모듈을 측방향으로 병진 이동시키는 단계;
샘플을 적어도 제1 포트 및 제2 포트 위에 정렬된 구조물을 거쳐 제1 챔버로부터 제2 챔버로 흡인하는 단계; 및
샘플을 전달 모듈의 벽을 통한 포트를 거쳐 제2 챔버로부터 전달 모듈 내에 위치된 제3 챔버로 흡인하는 단계
를 포함하는 방법.
