Abstract
Un des objets de la présente invention est de proposer un procédé de broyage d'au moins une matière minérale en présence de billes de broyage d'oxyde de zirconium contenant de l'oxyde de cérium (CeO2) ayant une teneur en oxyde de cérium spécifique (comprise entre 14 et 20 % en poids par rapport au poids total de ladite bille, de préférence entre 15 et 18 %, et très préférentiellement d'environ 16 %), et une taille de grain moyenne spécifique (inférieure à 1 µm, de préférence inférieure à 0,5 µm, et très préférentiellement inférieure à 0,3 µm), où de telles billes sont plus résistantes à l'usure que les billes conventionnelles de l'art antérieur. Un autre objet de la présente invention concerne le matériau broyé sous la forme d'une suspension aqueuse et sous la forme d'un produit sec. Un autre objet de la présente invention concerne les utilisations de tels produits dans n'importe quel secteur utilisant des matières minérales, et notamment les industries du papier, des peintures et des plastiques.
