Abstract
Presentert heri er fremgangsmåter for gjenvinningen av 1,3-propandiol fra en vandig tilførselsstrøm. Foreliggende oppfinnelse involverer å kontakte en vandig tilførselsstrøm som omfatter vann, 1,3-propandioi og minst én forurensende forbindelse med minst ett løsemiddelekstraksjonsmiddel for å danne en blanding. Blandingen blir separert til en første fase og en andre fase. Den andre fasen omfatter en hoveddel av vannet fra den vandige tilførselsstrømmen. Den første fasen omfatter løsemiddelekstraksjonsmiddel og minst noe av 1,3-propandiolen som var til stede i den vandige tilførselsstrømmen. Vektforholdet i den første fasen av 1,3propandiol til enhver forurensende forbindelse til stede er større enn vektforholdet av 1,3-propandiol til den samme forurensende forbindelsen i den vandige tilførselsstrømmen før den vandige tilførselsstrømmen blir kontaktet med løsemiddelekstraksjonsmidlet.
