Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA A RECUPERAçãO DE 1,3-PROPANODIOL DE UM CALDO DE FERMENTAçãO". São divulgados aqui processos para a recuperação de 1,3-propanodiol de uma corrente de alimentação aquosa. A presente invenção envolve contatar uma corrente de alimentação aquosa que compreende água, 1,3-propanodiol, e pelo menos um contaminante com pelo menos um solvente extrator para formar uma mistura. A mistura é separada em uma primeira fase e uma segunda fase. A segunda fase compreende uma maioria da água da corrente de alimentação aquosa. A primeira fase compreende solvente extrator e pelo menos parte do 1,3-propanodiol que estava presente na corrente de alimentação aquosa. A razão em peso na primeira fase de 1,3-propanodiol para qualquer contaminante presente é maior do que a razão em peso de 1,3-propanodiol para o mesmo contaminante na corrente de alimentação aquosa antes da corrente de alimentação aquosa ser contatada com o solvente extrator. A primeira fase pode ser removida da segunda fase separada para recuperar o 1,3-propanodiol.
