Abstract
Oppfinnelsen er en fremgangsmåte for å fjerne kvikksølvforbindelser fra en glykol eller alkoholholdig flytende absorpsjonsmiddelstrøm som inneholder kvikksølvforbindelser, spesielt en glykolstrøm som har vært anvendt i et glykoltørkeanlegg for å fjerne vann fra naturgass-strømmer. Fremgangsmåten omfatter å bringe den kikksølvanrikede flytende absorpsjonsmiddelstrøm i kontakt med et lag av faste absorpsjonsmiddelpartikler, omfattende et sulfidert metall, eventuelt understøttet på et bærermateriale, eller svovel understøttet på karbon.
