Abstract
Foreliggende beskrivelse angår et LNA oligonukleotid som består av en sekvens valgt fra gruppen bestående av 5'-(Tx)GxGxcsasasgscsastscscsTxGxT-3 og 5-GxTxTxascstsgscscststscsTxTxA-3 der store bokstaver betegner en beta-D-oksy-LNA nukleotid analog, små bokstaver betegner en 2-deoksynukleotid, understreket betegner enten en beta-D-oksy-LNA nukleotid analog eller en 2-deoksynukleotid, nedsenket skrift "s" betegner en fosfortioat binding mellom nabostilte nukleotider/LNA nukleotid analoger, og nedsenket skrift "x" betegner enten en fosfortioat binding eller en fosfordiester binding mellom nabostilte nukleotider/LNA nukleotid analoger, og der sekvensen eventuelt er utvidet med opp til fem 2-deoksynukleotid enheter. LNA oligonukleotider er nyttige for modulering av ekspresjon av hypoksi-induserbar faktorla (HIF- la), for eksempel i behandling av cancer sykdommer, hemming av angiogenese, indusering av apoptose, forhindring av cellular proliferasjon, eller behandling av en angiogen sykdom, for eksempel diabetisk retinopati, makulær degenerasjon (ARMD), psoriasis, reumatoid artritt og andre inflammatoriske sykdommer.
