Abstract
Det er beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for rensing av montelukast, eller farmasøytiske salter derav, eller solvater derav, innbefattende stereoisomerer eller blandinger derav som omfatter utførelse av en spesifikk serie av selektive oppløsningsmiddel-ekstraksjoner av montelukast eller dets forurensninger i en blanding av et organisk oppløsningsmiddel og vann ved spesifikke områder av pH og temperatur som avhenger av typen av forurensninger som skal fjernes. Spesielt omfatter den minst én vasking av en vandig fase inneholdende rått montelukast i saltform med et organisk oppløsningsmiddel, ved en pH omfattet mellom 12,0 og 13,5; og eventuelt en eller flere vaskinger av den resulterende vandige fasen med et organisk oppløsningsmiddel ved en pH omfattet mellom 8,5 og 10,0.
