Oppfinnelsen vedrører en ny katalysatorblanding som er egnet for polymerisering av et olefin, og hvor katalysatorblandingen omfatter et redusert over- gangsmetallkompleks og en ko-katalysator. Oppfin- nelsen er særpreget ved at overgangsmetallkom- plekset består av et redusert overgangsmetall, valgt fra gruppene 4-6 i Den periodiske tabell over elementene, med en multidentat-monoanionisk ligand og med to monoanioniske ligander. Mer spesielt er det reduserte overgangsmetall titan (Ti).
