The essence of the industrial design is the new form of the item, manifested in the shape and appearance of the upholstered parts, which give the furniture a unique, original appearance aimed at enhancing its aesthetic qualities. The sofa, based on the industrial design, is intended to be reproduced multiple times in industrial production. The industrial design is shown in the attached photographs, in which Fig. 1, the first version, shows the sofa from the front with a zipper decoration, and Fig. 2, the second version, shows the sofa from the front with a keder decoration. Essential Features of the Industrial Design The essence of the industrial design according to the first variation is a sofa in which the front part of the seat – the fascia – has a characteristically sewn-in zipper that imitates an open zipper, with a zipper visible at the top of the slit. The zipper from the front fascia extends as a decorative element to the lower part of the armrests. The essence of the industrial design according to the second variation is a sofa in which the front part of the seat – the fascia – has a characteristically sewn-in decorative piping that emphasizes the shape of the slit. The piping from the front fascia extends as a decorative element to the lower part of the armrests. The sofa is known under the trade name Ziper.
