Wynalazek dotyczy krystalicznej formy kompleksu tri hydrat chlorku [(2-amino-5-guanidynopentano)chloro(4,4'-dipirydylo)miedzi(II)] o wzorze 1, która ma zastosowanie jako składnik preparatów przeciwgrzybicznych, przeciwbakteryjnych oraz wykazujący działanie cytotoksyczne względem komórek linii nowotworowej kostniakomięsaka psa. Wynalazek ujawnia również sposób wytwarzania krystalicznej formy kompleksu, który polega na tym, że uwodnioną sól chlorku miedzi(II) rozpuszcza się w wodzie, Z kolei kwas 2-amino-5-guanidynopentanowy rozpuszcza się w wodzie, po czym jedną część molową uwodnionej soli chlorku miedzi(II) poddaje się reakcji z jedną lub dwiema częściami molowymi kwasu 2-amino-5-guanidynopentanowego, po czym do tak utworzonej mieszaniny dodaje się rozpuszczony w alkoholu metylowym uwodniony 2,2'-dipirydyl. The reaction is carried out using a magnetic stirrer with continuous stirring, after which after a minimum of 20 days the crystalline form of the trihydrate complex of [(2-amino-5-guanidinopentane) chloro (2,2'-dipyridyl) copper (II)] chloride is obtained formula 1.
