Przedmiotem zgłoszenia jest 3-(4-karboksyfenylo)-1-(4'-metylofenylo)-2-propan-1-ol i sposób otrzymywania 3-(4-karboksyfenylo)-1-(4'-metylofenylo)-2-propan-1-olu, o wzorze 2, na drodze transformacji mikrobiologicznej, w którym jako substrat stosuje się 4-karboksy-4'-metylochalkon, o wzorze 1. Wiązanie podwójne substratu redukuje się za pomocą systemu enzymatycznego szczepu bakterii z rodzaju Rhodococcus albo Gordonia.The subject of the application is 3- (4-carboxyphenyl) -1- (4'-methylphenyl) -2-propan-1-ol and the method of obtaining 3- (4-carboxyphenyl) -1- (4'-methylphenyl) -2-propane -1-ol, of formula 2, by microbial transformation, in which 4-carboxy-4'-methylchalcone, of formula 1 is used as the substrate, the double bond of the substrate is reduced by means of an enzyme system of a strain of Rhodococcus or Gordonia.
