Abstract
1. Композиция по п. 1, где указанный лигнин имеет средний размер частиц меньше, чем приблизительно 500 мкм.4. Композиция по п. 1, где указанный лигнин имеет объемная плотность меньше, чем приблизительно 0,35 г/см.5. Композиция по п. 1, где указанный лигнин получают из лигноцеллюлозной биомассы, необязательно используя экстракцию с помощью сверхкритической, докритической, или околокритической жидкости, или их комбинации.6. Claims (27)
1. Композиция, включающая:
лигнин; и
суммарно меньше, чем приблизительно 2000 мг элементов на кг указанного лигнина;
где указанные элементы представляют собой Al, As, B, Ba, Be, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, K, Li, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, Ni, P, Pb, S, Sb^Se, Si, Sn, Sr, Ti, Tl, V, и Zn.
2. Композиция по п. 1, где указанный лигнин имеет измеренную в соответствии со стандартами ASTM-D240 и D5865a теплоту сгорания, по меньшей мере, приблизительно 5000 БТЕ/фунт.
3. Композиция по п. 1, где указанный лигнин имеет средний размер частиц меньше, чем приблизительно 500 мкм.
4. Композиция по п. 1, где указанный лигнин имеет объемная плотность меньше, чем приблизительно 0,35 г/см3.

12. Композиция по п. 1, дополнительно включающая: меньше, чем приблизительно 150 мг серы на кг указанного лигнина.
13. Композиция по п. 1, где содержания указанных элементов определяют методом эмиссионной спектроскопии с индуктивно-связанной плазмой.
14. Композиция по п. 1, дополнительно включающая: меньше, чем приблизительно 20 г золы на кг указанного лигнина.
15. Композиция по п. 1, дополнительно включающая: меньше, чем приблизительно 2000 мг азота на кг указанного лигнина.
16. Композиция по п. 1, дополнительно включающая: массовое соотношение суммарной массы водорода и азота к углероду меньше, чем приблизительно 0,110.
17. Композиция по п. 1, где содержание указанного лигнина, определенное методом пиролиза и масс-спектрометрии с ионизацией лазерным пучком, составляет, по меньшей мере, 30% по массе от суммарной массы композиции.
18. Композиция по п. 1, где массовое соотношение сирингил монолигнола к гваяцил монолигнолу, определенное методом пиролиза и масс-спектрометрии с ионизацией лазерным пучком, составляет приблизительно от 2,0 до приблизительно 3,0.
19. Композиция, включающая:
лигнин;
меньше, чем приблизительно 700 мг кальция на кг указанного лигнина;
меньше, чем приблизительно 525 мг железа на кг указанного лигнина; и
меньше, чем приблизительно 150 мг серы на кг указанного лигнина.
20. Композиция по п. 19, дополнительно включающая:
суммарно меньше, чем приблизительно 2000 мг элементов на кг указанного лигнина;
где указанные элементы представляют собой Al, As, B, Ba, Be, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, K, Li, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, Ni, P, Pb, S, Sb, Se, Si, Sn, Sr, Ti, Tl, V, и Zn.
21. Композиция, включающая:
лигнин; и
меньше, чем приблизительно 525 мг железа на кг указанного лигнина.
22. Композиция по п. 21, дополнительно включающая:
меньше, чем приблизительно 700 мг кальция на кг указанного лигнина.
23. Композиция по п. 21, дополнительно включающая:
