Abstract

Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Iminodicarbonsäuren durch Amidocarbonylierung von Verbindungen der Formel (I), worin R = H, NH2, C1-28-Alkyl, C6-12-Aryl mit Kohlenmonoxid im sauren Milieu in Gegenwart eines katalytischen Palladiumkomplexes und eines Aldehyds sowie der abschließenden hydrolytischen Abspaltung der N-Acylgruppe, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass die Amidocarbonylierung in einem wasserhaltigen Medium durchgeführt wird. Als besonders geeignetes Ausgangsmaterial werden Formamid, Acetamid oder Harnstoff eingesetzt. Anorganische Pd(II)-Salze, wie Palladiumacetat oder -chlorid, oder heterogene Pd-Katalysatoren werden vor allem in Mischungen mit einer Mineralsäure und in Mengen von 0,01 bis 0,25 mol-% verwendet, wobei das katalytische System insbesondere Brom- oder Chlorwasserstoffsäure enthalten sollte. Ebenfalls vorgesehen ist die Umsetzung in Anwesenheit von max. 35 mol-% eines Halogenidsalzes.
