Selon l'invention, un traitement de génération d'IFD (40) d'un programme de classement intégré (30) génère un fichier IFD (50) permettant de retenir à la fois les données d'application de format arbitraire pour former des données de document et des données d'affichage et d'impression de format spécifié correspondant aux données d'application. Ce dispositif permet également l'affichage, la lecture, la mise en forme et l'impression de données de document à l'aide du fichier IFD (50), sans nécessiter l'utilisation de données d'application. Ce dispositif et ce procédé permettent d'obtenir un système d'armoire électronique permettant le contrôle informatisé de dessins et de textes et le contrôle unifié de différents types de documents.
