 高温加熱-冷却サイクルを繰り返し受けても、鋼表面に形成する保護性酸化スケールの剥離を抑制できる優れた耐スケール剥離性を有し、高温、特に1023K以上の高温加湿ガス環境下において好適に用いることができるオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼は、C:0.01~0.15%、Si:0.01~3%、Mn:0.01~2%、Cu:0.1~2.5%、Cr:23~30%、Ni:16~25%、Al:0.005~0.20%、N:0.001~0.40%、P:0.04%以下、S:0.01%以下、さらに、Y及びLn族の1種又は2種以上:合計で0.005~0.1%、残部Fe及び不可避的不純物から本質的になる鋼組成を有し、かつ鋼表面のY及びLn族元素を含む介在物が5×10-3個/μm2以下である。

Description

明 細 書 技術分野
[0001] 本発明はオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼に関し、より詳しくは高温加湿ガス環境下に おける耐スケール剥離性に優れるオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼に関する。本発明の オーステナイト系ステンレス鋼は、高温加湿ガス環境下にお 、て加熱 冷却サイクル が頻繁に繰り返される用途、例えば、分散型電源の熱交換器ゃ改質器、に特に適し ている。
背景技術
[0002] 分散型電源 (distributed generation)として使用されるマイクロガスタービンや各種燃 料電池は、熱効率向上の点から、燃焼排ガスの熱を利用して燃焼用空気を加熱する 熱交換器 (再生器)を備えたコジェネレーションシステムとするのが普通である。この 熱交^^は、ステンレス鋼製のコルゲートフィン、プレート等力も構成される。使用す るステンレス鋼には、高 ヽ耐熱性と良好な溶接性や加工性とを備えることが望まれる
[0003] 燃料電池では、水素を供給するための燃料として、天然ガス、 DME (ジメチルエー テル)、灯油、合成炭化水素系燃料、さらにはアルコール系燃料等といったさまざま な燃料が検討されている。この燃料は水蒸気改質等の方式により改質されて、水素 を発生させる。このような改質器の作製に用いるステンレス鋼にも、運転温度が高い ことから、やはり高い耐熱性と良好な溶接性及び加工性を備えることが望まれる。
[0004] 上述した熱交換器ゃ改質器に通されるガスは、数%から数十%の水蒸気を含有し 、かつ高温である。このような高温加湿ガスは、大気や自動車排気系の燃焼排ガスに 比較すると、過酷な腐食環境をもたらす。
[0005] また、分散型電源では、従来の火力発電プラント等とは異なり、装置の運転及び停 止が頻繁に発生するので、加熱 冷却のサイクリック条件を受ける。そのため、運転 加熱中にステンレス鋼の表面に形成された Crを主体とする保護性の酸化スケールは 、冷却途中で熱応力を発生してクラックを生じ、最終的に剥離に至る。スケールが剥 離した部位では、保護性スケールの再生が困難であり、 Feを主体とした非保護性の 酸化スケールが生成することが多い。その結果、ステンレス鋼の減肉が速くなり、機 器の耐用年数が短くなる。さらに、剥離したスケールは、機器内のガス流路又は機器 の出側に連結されたガス流路を閉塞させ、さらにはエロージョンによる機器損傷を引 き起こす危険性が非常に高い。
[0006] 従って、分散型電源の熱交換器ゃ改質器といった用途に使用されるステンレス鋼 には、耐熱性、加工性、溶接性に加えて、腐食性の強い高温加湿環境下において 加熱 冷却サイクルが繰り返されてもスケール剥離が起こらな 、という、優れた耐ス ケール剥離性が求められる。
[0007] 自動車排ガス浄ィ匕装置の触媒担体の用途に関して、多様な耐熱性 Fe— Cr— A1フ エライト系ステンレス鋼がこれまでに提案されている。しかし、フェライト系ステンレス鋼 は、一般に加工性が劣るとともに溶接が難しぐ上記用途に適用することは困難であ る。
[0008] 従来力ら、一般的な高温用途に ίま、 SUS304, SUS316L,及び SUS310に代表 されるオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼が多用されてきた。
特開平 7— 188869号公報には、高温の耐酸化性、耐摩耗性及びクリープ特性が 優れ、かつ溶接性の優れた安価なオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼が開示されて 、る。 このステンレス鋼は、 C:0.05〜0.15% (本明細書では、特に指定しない限り、「%」 は「質量%」を意味する)、 Si :1.0%未満、 Mn:2.0%以下、 P: 0.04%以下、 S:0.0 1%以下、 Cr:20〜30%、 Ni:10〜15%、 N:0.10〜0.30%、 B:0.0010〜0.01 %、 La + Ce:0.01〜0.10%、 Al:0.01〜0.20%、残部実質的に Fe及び不可避的 不純物よりなり、 {Ni+0.5Mn+30(C+N)—l.l(Cr+1.5Si)+8.2}として規定さ れる?^バランス値がー1.0%〜+ 3%の範囲にぁる鋼組成を有する。
[0009] 特開 2000— 303150号公報には直接拡散接合用ステンレス鋼が記載されている 。これは、 C:0.08%以下、 Si:0.01〜2%、 Mn:0.05〜1.5%、 P:0.05%以下、 S: 0.01%以下、 Al:0.005〜0.1%、 Cr:13〜32%、 Ni:0.01〜4%、 Mo:0.1〜6% 、 Ti: 0.05%以下、残部 Fe及び不可避的不純物からなるフ ライト系ステンレス鋼、 又は C:0.08%以下、 Si:0.01〜2%、 Mn:0.05〜1.5%、 P:0.05%以下、 S:0.01 %以下、 Al: 0.005〜0.1%、 Cr: 13〜25%、 Ni: 7〜15%、 Si+Mo : 1.5%以上、 Mo : 6%以下、 Ti: 0.05%以下、残部 Fe及び不可避的不純物力 なるオーステナイ ト系ステンレス鋼である。このオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼は圧延も容易でカ卩ェ性に も優れると説明されてている。
[0010] しかし、上記公報に記載されたオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼は、上述した耐スケ一 ル剥離性に関しては考慮されて ヽな 、。
特開平 11 279714号公報には、加熱-冷却サイクル下で材料に温度勾配が存 在する条件下での耐スケール剥離性が改善されたオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼が 開示されている。このステンレス鋼は、 C : 0.01〜0.15%、 Si: 0.5〜5%、 Mn: 0.2〜 2%、 P : 0.04%以下、 S : 0.02%以下、 Ni: 12〜22%、 Cr: 17〜26%、 Al: 0.01〜 5%、 N: 0.02〜0.4%を含有し、残部 Fe及び不可避的不純物よりなり、元素添加量 と使用する最高加熱温度 TK、温度勾配 a (°CZmm)との間に特定の関係を満足す る。
[0011] このオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼は、スケールの界面に濃化した Siや A1の酸化物 、或いは金属状 Niが、材料に温度勾配が存在する条件においてスケールにカ卩わる 膨張もしくは圧縮応力を緩和するように作用する現象を利用して、耐スケール剥離性 を改善するものである。そのため、 Ni、 Si及び A1量が重要であり、鋼中 Cr、 Ni、 Si及 び A1量が材料の最高温度 Tと温度勾配 aとを用いて規定される。しかし、このステン レス鋼の耐スケール剥離性は、数%から数十%の水蒸気を含有する過酷な加湿ガス 腐食環境下での耐スケール剥離性に関しては満足できるレベルにはない。また、ス ケール剥離後の再生について考慮されておらず、長期の性能安定性の改善が必要 である。
[0012] 本発明者らは、先に、特開 2003— 171745号公報において、 C : 0.01〜0.10%、 Si: 0.01〜1.0%、 Cr: 19〜26%、 Ni: 10〜35%、及び REM (希土類金属)の 1種 以上を合計で 0.005〜0.10%含有し、さらに Mnを 0.01%以上でかつ {Mn≤2.8 X REM -0.025 Χ ΝΪ + 0.95}を満足するように含有し、残部が Fe及び不可避的不純 物からなり、厚さが 1.0mm以下である、オーステナイト系ステンレス鋼板を提案した。 これは、分散型電源のコルゲートフィン等のように板厚が薄 、鋼板における異常酸化 に起因した「焼損」という現象を解決するため、 Mn含有量を Ni含有量及び REM含 有量に応じて制御することにより Cr Oの成長速度を抑制するものである。

[0013] 本発明者らはさらに、特開 2004— 83976号公報において、 C : 0.01〜0.10%、 Si
: 1.0%以下、 Cr: 23.0〜27.0%、 Ni: 17.0〜23.0%、希土類元素の 1種以上を合 計で 0.005〜0.10%を含み、 Mn含有量が 2.0%以下でかつ {Mn≥0.05 X Cr—0. 20 X板厚一 0.55}の関係を満足し、残部が Fe及び不可避的不純物であり、厚さが 0 .5mm以下である、耐高温酸ィ匕性オーステナイト系ステンレス鋼板を提案した。これ は、板厚が 0.5mm以下の鋼板に発生する「加速酸化」が、鋼表面に生成するスケー ルに発生する応力に強度が打ち負けて変形することが原因である、との知見に立脚 して、 Mn含有量を Cr含有量と板厚との関係を制御することによって Cr Oスケール
2 3 の高温強度を緩和するものである。
[0014] 上記特開 2003— 171745号及び 2004— 83976号各公報に提案されたオーステ ナイト系ステンレス鋼板は、板厚が薄 、鋼板にぉ 、て発生するそれぞれ焼損及び加 速酸ィ匕を解決することができる。しかし、これらの公報では、上述した加熱—冷却サイ クル下で問題となるスケール剥離にっ 、ての認識はなぐその解決策も呈示されて ヽ ない。
発明の開示
[0015] 本発明は、質量0 /0で、 C : 0.01〜0.15%、 Si: 0.01〜3%、 Mn: 0.01〜2%、 Cu:
0.1〜2.5%、 Cr: 23〜30%、 Ni: 16〜25%、 Al: 0.005〜0.20%、 N : 0.001〜0. 40%、 P : 0.04%以下、 S : 0.01%以下、 Y及び Ln族力も選ばれた 1種もしくは 2種 以上の希土類元素:合計で 0.005〜0.1%、さらに場合により Nb、 Ti及び V力 選ば れた 1種もしくは 2種以上:それぞれ 0.01〜1.0%、 Ca及び Mgから選ばれた 1種もし くは 2種:それぞれ 0.0001〜0.010%、 Mo、 W、 Ta、 Re及び Irから選ばれた 1種も しくは 2種以上:それぞれ 0.01〜6%、 B、 Zr及び Hfから選ばれた 1種もしくは 2種以 上:それぞれ 0.001〜0.10%、 Co : 0.01〜3%、 Pd、 Ag、 Pt及び Auから選ばれた 1 種もしくは 2種以上:それぞれ 0.005〜1%、残部: Fe及び不可避的不純物力 本質 的になる鋼組成を有し、かつ、鋼表面上の前記希土類元素を含有する介在物(以下 では、希土類元素系介在物とも 、う)の個数が 5 X 10_3個 Z μ m2以下であるオース テナイト系ステンレス鋼である。
[0016] 本発明にお!/、て、介在物とは短径が 0.5 μ m以上のものを意味する。短径が 0.5 μ mより小さい介在物は、鋼表面に存在しても耐スケール剥離性に著しい悪影響を及 ぼさないためである。希土類元素系介在物の個数は、後述する方法で測定すること ができる。
[0017] 本発明に係るオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼は、良好な加工性と溶接性に加えて、 特に高温加湿環境中で加熱 冷却サイクル下でもスケール剥離を防止できるような 優れた耐スケール剥離性を示す。この耐スケール剥離性の改善に著しく貢献するの は、 Cu含有量、並びに Y及び Ln族カゝら選ばれた 1種又は 2種以上の希土類元素の 含有量、さらには鋼表面上の希土類元素系介在物の量である。
[0018] 一般的に、スケール剥離とは、スケール中に発生する応力力 スケール Z母材間 の密着力を上回るために発生する。そのため、耐スケール剥離性を向上するには、 スケール中に発生する応力を低減することと、スケール Z母材間の密着力を高めるこ とが有効となる。ここで、スケール中に発生する応力には、スケールの成長に伴う成 長応力と、冷却時に発生する熱応力とが含まれる。そして、具体的な対策を大別する と以下のごとくとなる。
[0019] (1)スケールの成長速度を低減することにより、スケールの成長に伴う成長応力を 抑制すること。
(2)冷却時の温度差 ΔΤを小さくし、さらに板厚を小さくして母材の変形を利用する ことにより、冷却時のスケールに発生する熱応力を抑制すること。
[0020] (3)スケール Z母材の界面の結合力そのものを高めること、また界面に介在物等の 異質が存在することを抑制することにより、スケール Z母材間の密着力を高めること。 上記対策のうち、(2)における冷却時の温度差 ΔΤを小さくすることは、本発明の対 象となる装置 (例、マイクロタービン、燃料電池)の運転条件を制限することにつなが るため、実際に行うことは難しい。また、板厚を小さくすると、上述したように加速酸ィ匕 や焼損といった問題を生じるば力りではなぐ高温強度も低下するおそれがある。
[0021] そこで、本発明者らは、上記(1)及び (3)の対策に着目して、さらなる検討を重ねた 。本発明者らは特開 2003— 171745号公報に提案したように、スケールの成長速度 に着目して同様の検討を既に行ってはいるものの、以下に列記する理由(a)及び (b )により、加熱 冷却のサイクル下におけるスケールの成長速度は、これまでにはな V、新たな視点力もの検討が必要である。
[0022] (a)スケールの成長速度は生成するスケール中の元素の構成により決定される。
(b)生成するスケール中の元素の構成は、スケールの初期生成に依存することが 冬、、。スケールの初期生成は、その製品(例、熱交換器)の使用(加熱)温度に達す る前、すなわち昇温過程において起こる。
[0023] つまり、スケールの成長速度を低減するには、オーステナイト系ステンレス鋼の場合 には、 Cr Oを主体とする保護性酸ィ匕物 (保護性スケール)を均一に形成することが

肝要であり、そのようなスケールを昇温過程において確実に生成させる必要がある。 Cr Oの鋼板の表面における生成は、昇温過程のおよそ 773K以上力も既に開始さ

れる。しかし、このような比較的低い温度では、 Crの鋼中拡散が遅いため、通常では 均一な Cr Oスケールを形成することは難しい。また、 Cr O中に Feや Mnといった元

素が固溶することになり、使用温度でのスケールの成長速度を抑制できない。均一か つ高純度の Cr Oを生成させるためには、鋼中の Cr含有量を高めることが有効では

あるが、後述するように鋼の機械的特性や製造性も勘案すると、 Cr含有量の増大に は限界がある。
[0024] そこで、新たな手法を探るべく昇温過程における初期酸ィ匕の挙動を精査した結果、 下記 (c)〜 (f)が本質的に重要であることがわ力つた。
(c)鋼表面では酸ィ匕が開始されるときに、 Crとガス中の Oのみが反応すれば、均一

な Cr Oを形成することができる。しかし、実際のガス雰囲気には O以外にも多様な

ガス分子が存在するため、これら多様なガス分子が鋼表面に吸着して解離する。
[0025] (d)ガス雰囲気に例えば CO等が存在すると、鋼表面で Cと Oに解離し、 Cが鋼中に 侵入して浸炭が起こる。 SOや H Sが存在する場合も、同様の理由で硫ィ匕が起こる。

すなわち、酸ィ匕のみならずこれらガスによる浸炭や硫化、窒化さらには水素侵入等の 腐食が進行するため、酸ィ匕反応のみが進行することはできない。このような鋼表面に おける種々の反応の重畳によって、これまでは Cr Oの初期生成過程において Cr O
2 3 2 を均一に形成することはできな力つた。 [0026] こうして明らかになった本質的メカニズムに基づいて、その解決手段を検討するた め、鋼中元素の効果力 調べるために種々の成分変化材を作製し、表面反応を丹 念に解析した。その結果、 Cuと Y及び Ln族元素 (希土類元素)が、以下に説明する 非常に興味深い挙動を示すことがわ力つた。
[0027] (e) Cuは、鋼表面で吸着及び解離するガスに対して、その解離を抑制する効果を 有するため、酸化以外の腐食の進行を抑制することができ、これにより Cr Oが鋼表

[0028] (f)鋼が Y及び Ln族力 選ばれた 1種又は 2種以上の希土類元素を含有して 、ると 、 Cr O中に Feや Mnといった元素が固溶することが抑制され、高 Cr純度の Cr Oが

[0029] 上記(e)及び (f)の知見に基づ 、て、 Cuと 1種又は 2種以上の上記希土類元素とを 一緒に添加することにより、昇温過程において鋼表面に高 Cr純度の Cr Oのスケー
2 3 ルを均一に形成することができ、これにより、耐スケール剥離性を格段に向上すること が可能となる。これは、前述した(1)スケールの成長速度の低減に加え、(3)スケー ル Z母材の界面の結合力そのものを高めることによる。
[0030] しかし、それだけでは、本発明が目的とする耐スケール剥離性の改善には十分で はない。さらに、鋼表面の希土類元素系介在物の存在量を一定以下に低減させるこ とにより、これらの介在物が起点となるスケール剥離を防止することができ、耐スケ一 ル剥離性が著しく改善される。
[0031] 本発明に係るオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼は、高温加湿雰囲気中で高温での加 熱と室温への冷却を繰り返すといった加熱 冷却サイクルを受けても、鋼表面に形 成された保護性酸化スケールの剥離を抑制できる優れた耐スケール剥離性を有して おり、高温、特に 1023K以上の高温加湿ガス環境下において好適に用いることがで きる。また、加工性、溶接性、耐熱性も十分に高い。従って、分散型電源として今後 の普及が見込まれるマイクロガスタービンや各種燃料電池の熱交換器並びに燃料電 池の改質器に使用した場合に、スケール剥離による減肉が防止でき、機器の耐用年 数が延長される。

発明を実施するための最良の形態

本発明に係るオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼は、質量0 /0で、 C : 0.01〜0.15%、 Si: 0.01〜3%、 Mn: 0.01〜2%、 Cu: 0.1〜2.5%、 Cr: 23〜30%、 Ni: 16〜25%、 Al: 0.005〜0.20%、 N : 0.001〜0.40%、 P : 0.04%以下、 S : 0.01%以下、 Y及 び Ln族力も選ばれた 1種もしくは 2種以上の希土類元素:合計で 0.005〜0.1 %を含 有し、残部: Fe及び不可避的不純物力 本質的になる鋼組成を有し、かつ、鋼表面 上の前記希土類元素を含有する介在物 (希土類元素系介在物)の個数が 5 X 10"3 個/ / z m2以下であるという特徴を有する。
[0034] このオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼は、任意成分として、 Nb、 Ti及び V力も選ばれた 1種もしくは 2種以上:それぞれ 0.01〜1.0%、 Ca及び Mgから選ばれた 1種もしくは 2 種:それぞれ 0.0001〜0.010%、 Mo、 W、 Ta、 Re及び Irから選ばれた 1種もしくは 2種以上:それぞれ 0.01〜6%、 B、 Zr及び Hfから選ばれた 1種もしくは 2種以上:そ れぞれ 0.001〜0.10%、 Co : 0.01〜3%、 Pd、 Ag、 Pt及び Auから選ばれた 1種も しくは 2種以上:それぞれ 0.005〜 1 %をさらに含有して 、てもよ!/、。
[0035] 上記鋼組成は次の理由により決定された。
C : 0.01〜0.15%
Cは、 δフェライトの生成を抑制し、オーステナイト組織を安定させるとともに高温強 度を確保する効果を有する。この効果を発揮させるため 0.01%以上の Cを含有させ る。 C含有量が 0.15%を超えると、鋼の結晶粒界に多くの塊状の Cr Cが析出し、鋼 の延性が低下するとともに、加熱及び冷却サイクル時の熱疲労に対する抵抗性が劣 化する。 C含有量は好ましくは 0.02%以上、 0.12%以下である。
[0036] Si: 0.01〜3%
Siは、溶解時に脱酸剤として添加される力 高温加湿環境において Cr Oスケール
2 3 の内層に酸化物を形成し、耐酸化性を向上させる効果がある。この効果を発揮させ ために、 0.01%以上の Siを含有させる。一方、 Si含有量が 3%を超えると、加熱—冷 却サイクル時のスケール剥離が促進する。好まし 、Si含有量の範囲は 0.05%以上、 2%以下であり、より好ましい範囲は 0.1%以上、 1%未満である。

Mnは、オーステナイト組織を形成する効果を有し、溶解時に脱酸剤としても作用す る。この効果を得るために Mnを 0.01%以上含有させる。 Mn含有量が 2%を超えると 、鋼の高温酸化時に MnOが Cr Oスケール中に一部固溶し、それにより Y及び Ln

族による酸ィ匕速度の抑制を阻害するようになる。 Mn含有量の好ましい範囲は 0.1% 以上、 1.2%以下であり、より好ましい範囲は 0.6%以上、 1%以下である。
[0038] Cu: 0.1〜2.5%
Cuは、本発明に係るオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼にとって重要な元素の一つであ る。 Cuは、鋼表面でのガスの吸着解離性を抑える働きがあり、使用温度に到達する までの昇温過程で酸化と同時に起こり得る浸炭、硫化、窒化ゃ水素侵入等の腐食を 抑制することにより、酸ィ匕のみを優先的に進行させることができる。その結果、後で実 験結果に基づいて説明するように、昇温過程において保護性に優れる Cr Oのスケ
2 3 ールを均一に鋼表面に形成することができ、その後の高温保持中に優れた耐酸ィ匕 性を維持できるとともに、スケール剥離を大幅に軽減することができる。さらに、冷却 中にスケールが剥離した場合において、その後の昇温過程で保護性の Cr Oのスケ
2 3 ールを再生することができる。
[0039] このような Cuの効果は、 0.1%以上の Cu含有量で顕著となる。し力し、 Cu含有量 が 2.5%を超えると、靱性ゃカ卩ェ性といった性能が劣化する。 Cu含有量の好ましい 範囲は 0.2%以上、 2.5%以下であり、より好ましい範囲は 0.3%以上、 2.2%以下で ある。 [0040] Cr: 23—30%
Crは、本発明に係るオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼にとって重要な元素の一つであ る。 Crは、昇温過程で鋼表面に保護性の Cr Oのスケールを均一に生成させ、高温

保持中の酸ィ匕速度を抑制することにより耐酸ィ匕性を発揮するとともに、耐スケール剥 離性を向上させる。 Crはさらに、冷却中にスケールが剥離した場合、その後の昇温 過程において新たに保護性の Cr Oのスケールを均一に再生することにより耐酸ィ匕

性の劣化を防止する働きも有する。
[0041] Cr含有量が 23%より少ないと、鋼表面に Cr Oスケールが均一に生成せず、耐酸

化性が劣化するとともに、スケール剥離後の再生機能も劣化する。一方、 Cr含有量 が 30%を超えると、鋼の結晶粒界に多くの塊状の Cr Cが析出し、鋼の延性が低下

する他、製造性も劣化する。 Cr含有量の好ましい範囲は 23%以上、 28%以下であり 、より好ましい範囲は 24%以上、 28%以下である。
[0042] Ni: 16〜25%
Niはオーステナイト組織を形成するとともに鋼板の耐熱性を高める作用を有する。 オーステナイト組織を得るために Niを 16%以上含有させる。一方、 Ni含有量が 25% を超えると、溶接性及び熱間加工性の低下を招く。 Ni含有量の好ましい範囲は 16% 以上、 23%以下であり、より好ましい範囲は 16%以上、 21.5%以下である。

A1は、溶製時の脱酸のため添加できる元素である。この効果は 0.005%以上含有 すること〖こより奏される。一方、 A1含有量が 0.20%を超えると、 A1Nや Ni A1が析出し

、鋼の熱間加工性が著しく劣化し、またクリープ破断延性が低下する。さらに、これら 析出物が存在することにより、本発明の最も重要な、昇温過程で保護性の Cr Oのス
2 3 ケールを鋼表面に均一に形成させることが阻害される。そのため、 A1含有量を 0.20 %とする。特に希土類元素系介在物の生成を抑制するには、 A1含有量が 0.02%以 上、 0.15%以下であることが望ましぐさらに好ましい範囲は 0.04%以上、 0.15%未 満である。

Nは、オーステナイト組織の安定ィ匕に寄与するのみならず、高温強度を高める効果 を有する。さらに、高温で鋼表面に吸着するガスの解離を抑制して Cr Oのスケール

の均一形成を促す。この効果は 0.001%以上の Nを含有することにより達成される。 一方、通常の溶製技術では、 0.40%を超えて Nを含有させることは困難であるため、 その上限を 0.40%とする。特に高温強度を重視する場合には N含有量を 0.10%以 上、 0.30%以下とすることが好ましぐ 0.15%以上 0.25%以下とすることがさらに望 ましい。

P及び Sはいずれも不純物である力 結晶粒界に偏祈し、熱間加工性を劣化させる 。特に Cr、 Ni及び Nを本発明の範囲で含有する鋼においてその悪影響は大きい。ま た、高温ガス環境において生成する Cr Oのスケールの剥離を助長するという悪影

響もある。そのため、 P及び Sは極力低減することが好ましいが、過剰な低減には相 応のコスト上昇を伴うため、 Pは 0.04%以下、 Sは 0.01%以下とする。好ましくは P : 0. 035%以下、 S : 0.005%以下であり、よこ好ましくは P : 0.03%以下、 S : 0.002%以 下である。
[0046] Y及び Ln族 素:合計で 0.005〜0.1 %
Y及び Ln族元素カゝら選ばれた希土類元素も、 Cuと共に、本発明に係るオーステナ イト系ステンレス鋼において重要な元素の 1種である。 Y及び Ln族元素力 選ばれた 1種又は 2種以上の希土類元素を 0.005%以上、 0.1%以下の量で含有させ、同時 に鋼表面の Y及び Ln族元素を含む介在物(すなわち、希土類元素系介在物)を 5 X 10_3個/ / z m2以下に制限することにより、耐スケール剥離性を飛躍的に向上させる ことができる。この点については、後で実験データと共に詳しく説明する。
[0047] この効果を得るために、希土類元素 (Y及び Ln族)を合計含有量が 0.005%以上と なるように含有させる。一方、希土類元素の含有量が過剰になると介在物の生成量 が増大して、表面の生成スケールの耐スケール剥離性を低下させる他、鋼の加工性 及び靭性を低下させるので、希土類元素の含有量は合計 0.1%以下とする。
[0048] Ln族の中でも、特に La、 Ce、 Ndを用いることが好ましい。 Ln族とは、元素番号 57 の Laから同 71の Luまでを指す。耐スケール剥離性の観点から、好ましい希土類元 素の合計含有量は 0.005%以上、 0.08%以下であり、さらに好ましい含有量は 0.02 %以上、 0.06%以下である。
[0049] 以上の元素に加えて、本発明に係るオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼は、下記の 1種 又は 2種以上の元素を任意元素として含有してもよ 、。
Nb、 Ti及び V:それぞれ 0.01〜1.0%
Nb、 Ti及び Vは、極微量の添加でも、高温強度及び延性、靱性を改善することが できる。いずれの元素も含有量が 0.01%未満であるとこのような効果を奏することが できず、一方、それぞれ 1.0%を超えると加工性や溶接性が低下する。そのため、 Nb 、 Ti及び Vカゝら選ばれた 1種又は 2種以上の元素を含有させる場合には、それぞれ の含有量は 0.01%以上、 1.0%以下とする。これらの元素の好ましい含有量は 0.01 %以上、 0.7%以下である。
[0050] Ca及び Mg :それぞれ 0.0001〜0.010%
Ca及び Mgは、熱間加工性を向上させる。その効果はそれぞれ 0.0001%以上含 有すること〖こより得られる。特に、 Cr、 Ni及び Nを本発明で規定する範囲で含有する 鋼においては、粒内に対して相対的に粒界の強度が弱化する傾向にあるため、 Ca 及び Z又は Mgを添加することにより熱間加工性のみならず、溶接時の HAZ割れ感 受性に対して大幅な改善を図ることができる。一方、 Ca及び Z又は Mgの含有量が それぞれ 0.010%を超えると、低融点化合物である Ni— Ca、 Ni— Mg化合物が形成 され、熱間加工性がかえって悪ィ匕する。従って、 Ca及び Mgから選ばれた 1種又は 2 種を含有させる場合、それぞれの含有量は 0.0001%以上、 0.010%以下とし、好ま しい含有量は Ca、 Mgとも〖こそれぞれ 0.0003%以上、 0.007%以下である。
[0051] Mo、 W、 Ta、 Re及び Ir:それぞれ 0.01〜6%
Mo、 W、 Ta、 Re及び Irは、いずれも、固溶強化元素として高温強度の向上に有効 である。高温強度の一層の向上を図るため、必要に応じてこれらの 1種又は 2種以上 を添加する。効果を発揮させるには、いずれの元素もそれぞれ 0.01%以上の量が必 要である。しかし、過剰に添加するとカ卩ェ性の劣化と組織安定性とをともに阻害する ため、いずれの元素も、上限を 6%とする。 Mo、 W、 Ta、 Re及び Irの 1種又は 2種以 上を添加する場合、その含有量はそれぞれ 0.01%以上、 6%以下であり、好ましくは それぞれ 0.05%以上、 3%以下、さらに好ましくはそれぞれ 0.1%以上、 1.4%以下 である。
[0052] B、 Zr及び Hf :それぞれ 0.001〜0.10%
B、 Zr及び Hfは、いずれも、粒界を強化し、熱間加工性及び高温強度特性を改善 するのに有効である。このような効果は、それぞれ 0.001%以上添加された場合に得 られる。しかし、それぞれの含有量が 0.10%を超えると、溶接時の高温割れに対する 感受性が著しく高まる。従って、これらの 1種又は 2種以上の元素を添加する場合、 含有量はそれぞれ 0.001%以上、 0.10%以下とし、好ましい含有量はそれぞれ 0.0 01%以上、 0.05%以下である。
[0053] Co : 0.01〜3%
Coは、 Niの一部を置換してオーステナイト相を安定ィ匕することができる。この効果 を得たい場合に、 0.01%以上の Coを添加することができる。一方、 3%を超えて Co を添加すると、著しく熱間加工性を低下させる。従って、 Coを添加する場合の含有量 は 0.01%以上、 3%以下であり、好ましい含有量は 0.1%以上、 1%以下である。
[0054] Pd、 Ag、 Pt及び Au:それぞれ 0.005〜1%
Pd、 Ag、 Pt及び Auは、いずれも、耐食性を向上することができる。いずれの元素 も含有量が 0.005%未満であると耐食性の向上効果が得られない。一方、これらの 元素の含有量が 1%を超えると、加工性が低下するほか、コスト高を招く。 Pd、 Ag、 P t及び Auから選ばれた 1種又は 2種以上を含有させる場合、その含有量はそれぞれ 0.005%以上、 1%以下であり、好ましい含有量はそれぞれ 0.0050%以上、 0.5% 以下である。
[0055] 本発明に係るオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼の上記以外の組成は、 Fe及び不可避 的不純物である。
本発明のオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼における Cu及び希土類元素 (Y及び Ln族) 1S 保護性の Cr Oスケールの均一生成とそれによる耐スケール剥離性の改善に及

ぼす影響について、次に実験データに基づいてより詳しく説明する。
[0056] 種々の組成のオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼から厚さ 1.2mm、幅 15mm及び長さ 3 5mmの素材を切り出し、表面を鏡面仕上げとした試験片を作製した。作製した各試 験片を加熱炉に装入し、室温から 1123Kまでを 0.5KZsecの昇温速度で昇温し、 1 123Kに到達すると同時に室温近くまで冷却し、取り出した。そして、試験片の表面 に生成した酸化スケールにおける Cr量を、 SIMSを用いて測定した。
[0057] 図 1は、オーステナイト系ステンレス鋼の表面に形成される酸化スケールにおける C r量を、 SIMS (2次イオン質量分析装置)を用いて測定した結果と、鋼中 Cu含有量と の関係を示すグラフである。
[0058] 図 1のグラフに示すように、 Cuを含有しない鋼では、酸化スケール中の Cr濃度(SI MS分析で得られた酸化スケール中の最高 Cr濃度)が 50〜70%であるのに対し、 C uを 0.1 %以上含有することにより酸化スケール中の Cr濃度が 80%以上に増大する 。つまり、オーステナイト系ステンレス鋼が Cuを 0.1 %以上含有することにより、その昇 温過程において純度の高い Cr Oが均一に生成することがわかる。

。さらに、冷却中にスケールが剥離した後の昇温過程においても、保護性酸化スケー ルとなる純度の高い Cr Oを再生することが可能となる。この効果は、 Y及び Ln族か

ら選ばれた 1種又は 2種以上の希土類元素を合計 0.005%以上含有させることにより 得ることができる。

上述したように、本発明では、初期の昇温過程において保護性の Cr含有度の高い Cr Oのスケールを均一に形成することが、その後の高温保持中の酸化速度を低減

し、良好な耐酸化性を維持できるとともに、剥離し難いスケールとするために重要で ある。さらに、スケール Z母材の界面の結合力そのものを高め、界面に介在物等の 異質が存在することを抑制することによりスケールの耐剥離性が著しく改善される。
[0063] スケール Z母材の界面の結合力の向上はスケール剥離を大きく抑制することがで きる。この目的で希土類元素を添加することはこれまでも知られている力 それだけで は十分な改善を図ることはできな 、。スケール Z母材の界面に存在する介在物が起 点となって、スケール剥離が発生するからである。
[0064] 一般的な介在物は、溶製時に生成し、鋼中に残存する酸化物、硫ィ匕物もしくは酸 硫化物等の化合物であり、 Al、 Si、 Mnの各酸化物や Mn、 Caの硫化物等が知られ ている。介在物は、これらの化合物単独から形成される場合もあれば、 2種以上が複 合化して形成される場合もある。
[0065] 一方、 Yや Ln族と ヽつた希土類元素を含有する鋼では、これらの元素は酸素ゃ硫 黄との親和力が高いため、極めて強力な脱酸効果及び脱硫効果を示す。その結果、 固溶酸素や固溶硫黄を除去して、熱間加工性や溶接性、さらには高温雰囲気で鋼 表面に生成するスケールの耐剥離性を向上させる。
[0066] しかし、希土類元素を添加した鋼は、上記脱酸及び脱硫作用により生成した希土 類元素の酸化物および Zまたは硫化物からなる、希土類元素を含む介在物 (希土類 元素系介在物)が鋼中に多数残存し、清浄度が低くなる。希土類元素の酸化物ゃ硫 化物は、平均原子量が鋼より大きぐ精鍊時の溶鋼中で浮上し難いため、スラグとし て除去され難ぐ清浄度を悪化させる力 である。この希土類元素系介在物の生成は 、鋼に希土類元素を含有させた鋼では特に顕著となり、合金元素の最適化や精鍊時 の介在物制御を行わない限り、抑制することは難しい。このような希土類元素系介在 物が鋼表面に存在すると、使用環境中で酸化スケールを表面に形成した後のスケー ル z母材の界面に残存し、スケール剥離を助長する。
[0067] 鋼が希土類元素を含有すると耐スケール剥離性が向上することはこれまでも知られ ていた。本発明では、希土類元素を含有することにより生成する希土類元素系介在 物(前述したように、これは主に希土類元素の酸ィヒ物、硫化物もしくは酸硫化物等で ある)の量を規制することによって、耐スケール剥離性が飛躍的かつ本質的に改善さ れる。この点を実験結果に基づいてさらに詳述する。
[0068] 図 3は、 25%Cr—20%Niオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼と、同成分にさらに 0.04% の Laもしくは 0.042%の Laを添カ卩したオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼を用い、希土類 元素系介在物の個数と、 1173Kで lOOh大気中にて酸ィ匕試験を行ったときの表面生 成スケールの剥離数とを調べた結果を示すグラフである。
[0069] スケールの剥離数は、スケール表面を光学顕微鏡にて 100倍で視野 5箇所観察し 、短径 5 /z m以上の長さを持つ剥離をカウントし、単位面積あたりの個数 (個 Z m2) に換算した値である。
[0070] 希土類元素系介在物は、酸化試験前のステンレス鋼表面を、硝酸 Z塩酸 Zグリセ リン混合液 (濃硝酸:濃塩酸:グリセリン体積比 = 1 : 4 : 1)でエッチングしてから、光学 顕微鏡で観察し、 500倍で視野 5箇所について短径 0.5 /z m以上の長さを持つ希土 類元素系介在物をカウントし、単位面積あたりの個数 (個 Z m2)に換算した値であ る。介在物が希土類元素系介在物であるか否かの同定は、 SEM— EDX (エネルギ 一分散型蛍光 X線)分析により行った。

0.04 2%La添加オーステナイト系ステンレス鋼では 8.2 X 10 個/ μ m2であった。この介 在物量の相違は、精鍊法の違いによるものである。すなわち、ほぼ同じ La添加量で あっても、精鍊法によって希土類元素介在物の数は変動する。
[0072] スケール剥離数は、 0.04%Laの鋼では、 Laを添カ卩しなかった鋼より約 1桁少なくな り、希土類元素介在物数が少ない 0.042%Laの鋼では、さらに 1桁少なくなつた。す なわち、 La添加だけでも耐スケール剥離性は向上する力 希土類元素系介在物数 を低減させると、耐スケール剥離性がさらに著しく改善されることがわ力る。
[0073] 希土類元素系介在物の個数とスケール剥離との関係を明らかにするため、種々の 介在物数を有する試験素材を製作し、図 3に関して説明したのと同じ酸ィ匕試験を行 つた。図 4は、この酸ィ匕試験における鋼表面単位面積あたりの希土類元素系介在物 数と、単位面積当たりのスケール剥離数とを関係を示すグラフである。図 4に示すダラ フから、鋼表面の希土類元素系介在物が 5 X 10_3個 Z μ m2以下であればスケール 剥離を効果的に抑制できることがわかる。
[0074] 希土類元素系介在物は少なければ少な!/、ほうが好ま 、が、精鍊上の技術の困難 さとコストアップとにつながるため可能な範囲で低減することが重要である。耐スケ一 ル剥離性の観点から、好ましくは鋼表面の希土類元素系介在物を 3 X 10_3個 Z m 2以下に抑制することが望ま 、。
[0075] 希土類元素の添カ卩は、溶製段階での処理が適切に行われない場合には、介在物 の巻き込みを誘発し、鋼表面の希土類元素系介在物を 5 X 10_3個 Z μ m2以下に抑 制することができない。このため、溶鋼段階では、介在物を吸収し易い組成の溶融酸 化物スラグを共存させた状態で適正な溶鋼撹拌を行うこと、具体的には、取鍋精鍊 段階で生石灰等の副原料を添加することにより取鍋スラグの組成を、介在物を吸収し 易い組成に制御するとともに、取鍋精練に一般に使用される不活性ガスによる撹拌 等により溶鋼を撹拌すること、によって、鋼表面における希土類元素系介在物を 5 X 10_3個 Z m2以下に抑制することが可能となる。
[0076] 希土類元素系介在物は、上述したように、 Y及び Ln族元素の酸化物、硫化物、及 び Z又は酸硫化物であるが、 Al、 Si、 Mn、 Ca、 Mg等の脱酸元素や脱硫元素を含 有している場合もある。希土類元素系介在物を低減するにはこれら脱酸元素や脱硫 元素を適正量含有することや、精鍊時の予備脱酸、複合脱酸及びキリング条件等の 最適化を図ることにより実現されるものである。
[0077] 本発明のオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼は、溶解、铸造、鍛造、熱間加工、冷間加 ェ、溶接等力 選ばれた適切な組み合わせの工程によって、鋼板、継目無管、溶接 管、棒鋼さらには鍛鋼等の所要の形状に成形することができる。或いは、粉末冶金や 遠心铸造等の手法によって所要の形状に成形してもよい。最終製品は、直前の加工 処理のままとしてもよぐ或いはひずみ除去、結晶粒度調整、析出物の固溶化等を目 的とした熱処理を施してもよい。さらに熱処理を施した後の鋼表面に対しては、酸洗、 ショットブラスト、機械切削、グラインダ研磨及び電解研磨等の表面加工処理を施して よい。
[0078] 本発明のオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼は、高温での加熱と室温への冷却を繰り返 すといった加熱—冷却サイクルを受けても、鋼表面に形成する保護性酸化スケール の剥離を抑制できる優れた耐スケール剥離性を有しており、高温、特に 1023K以上 の高温加湿ガス環境下にお 、て好適に用いることができる。
[0079] このオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼は、例えば、マイクロガスタービンや各種燃料電 池の熱交換器 (再生器)や、燃料電池の改質器の構成材料として好適に使用するこ とができる耐熱性、溶接性及び加工性を備えて 、る。
実施例
[0080] 本発明を、実施例を参照しながらより詳しく説明する。但し、以下の実施例は例示を 目的とするものであり、本発明を制限するものでははい。
表 1に示す鋼組成を有す試番 1〜36 (試番 1〜32は本発明の範囲内、試番 33〜3
6は本発明の範囲外)の鋼を、それぞれ 10kgの真空誘導加熱炉により溶製した。試 番 17の鋼は、介在物数を変えるため、精鍊時の脱酸を異なる 2条件で実施した(17a ゝ 17b)。

[0082] 各インゴットを 1473Kで 2時間加熱し、熱間鍛造により 25mm厚、 90mm幅の板状 に成形した。さらに、 1423Kで 1時間加熱後、熱間圧延を行って 5mm厚とした。
[0083] この鋼板を 1373Kで軟ィ匕焼鈍を行った後に冷間圧延を行うことにより 1.2mm厚と し、さらに一部のものについては、この鋼板を、 1373Kで軟ィ匕焼鈍を行った後に冷 間圧延を施す工程を繰り返すことにより 0.1〜: LOmmの鋼板の厚さを有するステンレ ス鋼板を得た。
[0084] この鋼板を最終熱処理及びスケール除去を施した後、幅 15mm、長さ 15mmの寸 法で各鋼種から 5枚の試験片を切り出した。これらの試験片の表面を、前述したのと 同じ硝酸 Z塩酸 Zグリセリン混合液によりエッチングした後、光学顕微鏡下で SEM — DEX分析を併用して、短径 0.5 m以上の希土類元素系介在物の観察及び計数 処理を行った。結果を表 2に示す。表 2に示すように、本発明の範囲内の鋼組成を有 する鋼のうち、試番 14及び 17bは、介在物数が本発明で規定する範囲より多くなつ ていた。
[0085] 高温酸化試験は、幅 15mm、長さ 35mmの寸法で試験片を切り出して用いた。高 温酸化試験は、ガス条件 1 :都市ガスの燃焼排ガスを模擬した 3%0 - 16%H O—

9%CO bal. Nのガス組成、ガス条件 2 :都市ガスの改質を模擬した 1%CH— 7

%CO - 12%CO- 20%H O— bal. Hのガス組成の 2条件の気流中で行った。各

条件とも 1223Kで 25分間の加熱と室温までの空冷を 1サイクルとし、最大 3650サイ クル (装置が 1日一回加熱 冷却を行うとして、 10年間の回数に相当)まで行った。
[0086] 50サイクル毎に試験片を取り出し、試験片の重量変化を電子式天秤により測定す るとともに、試験片の表面に生成する酸化スケールの剥離状態、及び断面からのスケ ール生成とその近傍の母材を光学顕微鏡で観察し、スケール剥離の有無を確認した 。スケール剥離が進むと耐酸ィ匕性が劣化するため、試験片の重量は試験サイクル数 とともに減少し、試験片が減肉していく。そこで、耐スケール剥離性の評価として、重 量変化が— 20mg/cm2以上であれば、耐スケール剥離性に優れると判断した。表 2 に試験結果をまとめて示す。

[0088] 比較鋼である試番 33〜36では、いずれも 3650サイクル後の試験片重量が— 20 mg/cm2以下に減少しており、耐スケール剥離性に劣っている。また、試番 1〜32 のうち、介在物数が本発明の範囲外にある試番 14及び 17bでも、試験片重量が— 2 Omg/cm2以下に減少しており、耐スケール剥離性に劣って V、る。
[0089] これに対し、本発明鋼である試番 1〜13、 15〜17a、及び 18〜32では、いずれも 3650サイクル後の試験片重量が— 20mg/cm2以上あり、優れた耐スケール剥離 '性を有している。
以上に本発明を好適態様に関して説明したが、本発明はそれらに制限されるもの ではなレ、。本発明の範囲を逸脱せずに多様な変更が可能である。

請求の範囲
[1] 質量0 /0で、 C : 0.01〜0.15%、 Si: 0.01〜3%、 Mn: 0.01〜2%、 Cu: 0.1〜2.5 %、 Cr: 23〜30%、 Ni: 16〜25%、 Al: 0.005〜0.20%、 N: 0.001〜0.40%、 P: 0.04%以下、 S : 0.01%以下、 Y及び Ln族カゝら選ばれた 1種もしくは 2種以上の希土 類元素:合計で 0.005〜0.1%、 Nb、 Ti及び V:それぞれ 0〜1.0%、 Ca及び Mg :そ れぞれ 0〜0.010%、 Mo、 W、 Ta、 Re及び Ir:それぞれ 0〜6%、 B、 Zr及び Hf:そ れぞれ 0〜0.10%、 Co : 0〜3%、 Pd、 Ag、 Pt及び Au:それぞれ 0〜1%、残部: Fe 及び不可避的不純物から本質的になる鋼組成を有し、かつ、鋼表面上の前記希土 類元素を含有する介在物の個数が 5 X 10_3個 Z μ m2以下であるオーステナイト系ス テンレス鋼。
[2] 鋼組成が Nb、 Ti及び V力も選ばれた 1種又は 2種以上をそれぞれ 0.01〜1.0%含 有する、請求項 1に記載のオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼。
[3] 鋼組成が Ca及び Mgから選ばれた 1種又は 2種をそれぞれ 0.0001〜0.010%含 有する請求項 1に記載のオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼。
[4] 鋼組成が Mo、 W、 Ta、 Re及び Ir力 選ばれた 1種又は 2種以上をそれぞれ 0.01
〜6質量%含有する請求項 1に記載のオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼。
[5] 鋼組成が B、 Zr及び Hfから選ばれた 1種又は 2種以上をそれぞれ 0.001〜0.10% 含有する請求項 1に記載のオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼。
[6] 鋼組成が Coを 0.01〜3%含有する請求項 1に記載のオーステナイト系ステンレス 鋼。
[7] 鋼組成が Pd、 Ag、 Pt及び Auから選ばれた 1種又は 2種以上をそれぞれ 0.005〜 1%含有する請求項 1に記載のオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼。
