Abstract

La présente invention concerne un rouleau constitué d'une succession de feuilles (1) de papier absorbant à usage unique, séparées selon au moins un de leur côté perpendiculairement au sens de dévidage du rouleau par des prédécoupes (2) parallèles entre elles, les feuilles (1) sont en outre séparées par des découpes (3) qui s'étendant selon au moins 80 % du côté découpé des feuilles, les découpes et les prédécoupes étant alternées selon le sens de dévidage du rouleau. L'invention concerne en outre le procédé de fabrication de tels rouleaux ainsi que le dispositif de fabrication associé.

Description

PROCEDE, DISPOSITIF DE FABRICATION ET ROULEAUX ASSOCIES FORMES DE FEUILLES A DECOUPES ET PREDECOUPES ALTERNEES
La présente invention concerne le domaine des rouleaux de papier à usage unique tels que les rouleaux de papier hygiénique, rouleaux d'essuyage, à usage collectif ou privé.
Dans le domaine des papiers ou « tissue » jetables il existe essentiellement deux types d'appareils pour distribuer les feuilles de papier et de ce fait deux présentations pour le papier à distribuer : en feuilles pliées et/ou enchevêtrées, et en rouleaux.
Concernant les distributeurs de rouleaux, on connaît les distributeurs à dévidage central dans lesquels le papier est extrait du distributeur via l'axe (ou le centre) du rouleau. Le distributeur présente alors généralement une ouverture ou cône situé à proximité de l'axe du rouleau. L'axe de dévidage peut être horizontal comme divulgué par exemple dans la demande de brevet française FR 2 873 562 déposée au nom de la demanderesse ; une autre illustration est donnée par la demande WO 2006/007256.
On connaît encore des rouleaux à dévidage central dont l'axe de dévidage est vertical : la demande FR 2 761 252 en est un exemple ainsi que la demande WO 97/21377.
On connaît aussi le brevet US 2005/0067519 qui décrit un distributeur de ce type contenant un rouleau à double enroulement, avec un décalage des lignes de prédécoupes.
L'une ou l'autre des solutions sera envisagée selon l'utilisation et/ou l'encombrement dédié au distributeur.
Le papier issu de tels distributeurs est généralement froissé au niveau du cône de distribution.
On connaît aussi les distributeurs couramment appelés à dévidage tangentiel dans lesquels les rouleaux sont dévidés par libre rotation autour de leur axe, Ie papier étant extrait par une fente ou une ouverture à proximité d'une génératrice du rouleau.
Les feuilles individuelles ou « formats » formant les rouleaux peuvent être reliées entre elles par des prédécoupes. Il est aussi connu d'avoir un outil intégré dans le distributeur, destiné à découper les feuilles dès qu'une longueur de feuille est dévidée par l'utilisateur.
De façon plus simple, un autre type de distributeur permet à l'utilisateur de découper lui-même un format, grâce par exemple, à une lame tranchante placée à la sortie du papier. Préférentiellement mais non exclusivement la présente invention se rapporte aux rouleaux à dévidage tangentiel.
Le brevet US 459 516 décrit de tels rouleaux dont les feuilles comprennent des découpes transversales s'étendant à intervalles réguliers, sur presque toute la largeur du rouleau. Les tenons reliant les feuilles, au nombre de un ou deux par largeur, sont décalés selon la largeur du rouleau.
Le document DE 203 14147 montre une bande de papier comprenant, à intervalles réguliers, des découpes transversales associées à au moins une zone de liaison. On connaît aussi le document DE 201 07189 qui divulgue un rouleau de papier toilette ou autre, dont la feuille présente selon sa largeur et à intervalles réguliers, une alternance de prédécoupes de petite et de grande dimensions.
Il est encore connu, par le brevet US 4 627 117, un rouleau de papier pour recouvrir les sièges des toilettes, dont la feuille enroulée présente, selon l'une des variantes, une alternance de perforations continues et de perforations discontinues (la zone centrale ne présente alors pas de perforations ni de découpes). En découpant une telle feuille uniquement au niveau des perforations continues, l'utilisateur peut ainsi recouvrir la moitié d'un siège de toilette en rabattant la feuille contre le siège grâce aux perforations dites discontinues.
Par ailleurs, lorsqu'on utilise des rouleaux de papier toilette en collectivité il est important de pouvoir contrôler la consommation de papier et de la limiter, de façon à réduire le coût d'utilisation. Dans les distributeurs en rouleaux, à dévidage central ou tangentiel, il existe un problème de surconsommation en collectivité car les feuilles individuelles (ou coupons) sont reliées entre elles par des perforations et zone de liaisons, et c'est à l'utilisateur de décider librement le nombre de feuilles (ou coupons) qu'il extrait et découpe avant utilisation ; et généralement il extrait et utilise une très grande longueur de papier.
Comme évoqué plus haut, une manière de résoudre ce problème a consisté à faire sortir une longueur prédéterminée et limitée de papier. Un système mécanique plus ou moins complexe est alors nécessaire : le brevet EP 0 930 039 est un exemple de ce type de distributeur. Récemment, des éléments électriques et/ou électroniques ont permis de réaliser un contrôle et une limitation de la quantité de papier dévidé dans des distributeurs à dévidage latéral : les brevets EP 1 230 886, EP 1 231 823 ou encore EP 1 232 715 protègent différents aspects de distributeurs électroniques récents comportant un contrôle électronique de la distribution de papier.
Ces ensembles, bien que répondant parfaitement au problème du contrôle du dévidage, présentent l'inconvénient d'être plus ou moins sophistiqués donc coûteux et/ou d'utilisation fragile ce qui peut être rédhibitoire en utilisation grand public.
D'autres utilisations (pratiques) requièrent un dévidage et une découpe contrôlée de rouleaux de papier jetable.
Dans tous les cas il existe un besoin pour un système simple, fiable de distribution de feuilles (ou coupons) initialement enroulées, ou plus exactement pour un rouleau réalisant intrinsèquement cette fonction.
On connaît par ailleurs des rouleaux dont les feuilles sont découpées à intervalles réguliers : le brevet US 2 053 786 en est un exemple.
La présente invention a pour objet un rouleau constitué d'une succession de feuilles (ou formats) de papier absorbant séparées selon un de leur côté perpendiculaire au sens de dévidage du rouleau, par des prédécoupes parallèles entre elles.
Conformément à l'invention, les feuilles sont en outre séparées par des découpes, les découpes et les prédécoupes étant alternées selon le sens de dévidage du rouleau.
Ainsi l'utilisateur peut, en dévidant le rouleau, extraire aisément un coupon déjà découpé et qui comprend plusieurs formats ou coupons reliés entre eux par des prédécoupes. Et ceci avec une seule et très faible force de traction sur l'extrémité libre du rouleau. L'utilisateur peut en outre n'extraire qu'un ou deux formats reliés par des prédécoupes, s'il le souhaite.
Conformément à un mode préféré de réalisation de l'invention, les découpes s'étendent sur au moins 80 % préférentiellement sur plus de 93 % du côté découpé des feuilles. Avantageusement, les découpes sont réalisées de façon à laisser au moins une zone de liaison disposée par exemple à une extrémité du côté découpé ; le ou les zone de liaisons peuvent être prévues en zone centrale du côté découpé, et/ou entre la zone centrale et l'une ou l'autre extrémité de la feuille. Ces zones de liaison, de quelque mm de long par exemple, permettent de décoller légèrement l'extrémité d'un coupon (ou format) lorsque le précédent est tiré, puis lorsque ledit coupon est découpé par traction de l'utilisateur. Selon un mode de réalisation particulier de l'invention, une alternance d'au moins une ligne de prédécoupe avec une ligne de découpe est prévue selon la longueur de dévidage du rouleau.
Conformément à un mode intéressant de réalisation de l'invention, le rouleau comprend un enroulement d'au moins deux feuilles superposées l'une sur l'autre de telle sorte que les découpes de l'une des feuilles sont longitudinalement décalées par rapport aux découpes d'une autre feuille immédiatement superposée.
Ce décalage permet, lorsque l'une des feuilles est extraite par traction, d'avoir l'extraction de la deuxième feuille en position quasi dévidée, et de ce fait de faciliter la préhension et l'extraction de la deuxième feuille ... et ainsi de suite.
L'invention concerne en outre un procédé de fabrication de rouleaux de feuilles de papier absorbant comprenant notamment une étape de prédécoupe des feuilles, qui consiste en outre à réaliser des découpes perpendiculairement au sens de dévidage de chaque rouleau, alternativement et parallèlement aux prédécoupes.
Plus spécifiquement, on réalise une succession de coupes et de prédécoupes selon une génératrice de l'outil de coupe perpendiculairement au sens de dévidage du rouleau et avant l'enroulement des feuilles pour la formation des logs.
Conformément à un mode de réalisation de l'invention, le procédé consiste à réaliser un trajet de longueur différente pour les feuilles après la formation des prédécoupes et/ou des découpes et avant la superposition desdites feuilles, afin de créer un décalage longitudinal des découpes entre deux feuilles immédiatement superposées.
L'invention concerne en outre un dispositif de fabrication de rouleaux de feuilles absorbantes comprenant une unité de découpes et de prédécoupes de feuilles en formats, ladite unité comprenant un élément rotatif portant plusieurs couteaux de profil tranchant spécifique, espacés angulairement sur l'élément rotatif et coopérant avec un contre-couteau fixe, le profil tranchant de l'un au moins des couteaux présentant au moins une zone de découpe et au moins une zone de prédécoupe.
Plus précisément, les profils tranchants de deux couteaux successifs sont tels que les zones de découpe et de prédécoupe sont décalées selon l'axe de l'élément rotatif.
Avantageusement, les profils tranchants de deux couteaux successifs sont tels que les zones de découpe présentent un recouvrement selon l'axe de l'élément rotatif. D'autres caractéristiques, détails et avantages de l'invention apparaîtront mieux à la lecture de la description qui va suivre, faite à titre illustratif et nullement limitatif en référence aux dessins annexés sur lesquels :
- La figure 1 est un schéma d'un rouleau selon un mode de réalisation de l'invention ;
- La figure 2 est un exemple de réalisation d'un rouleau selon l'invention ;
- La figure 3 est un schéma montrant les éléments essentiels et caractéristiques d'un système permettant de réaliser l'invention ; - La figure 4 est un schéma des profils de plusieurs couteaux disposés successivement ;
- Les figures 5 et 6 sont des schémas de deux séquences de découpes et de prédécoupes selon l'invention ;
- La figure 7 est un schéma d'un mode de réalisation d'une installation selon l'invention ; et
- La figure 8 est une coupe transversale d'une feuille obtenue selon un mode de réalisation de l'invention.
Conformément à la figure 1 , un rouleau selon l'invention, ici à dévidage tangentiel, est constitué d'une succession de feuilles ou formats 1 séparées selon l'un de leur côté par des prédécoupes 2 parallèles entre elles. Le côté en question est perpendiculaire au sens de dévidage du rouleau schématisé par la flèche A.
De façon connue, par « prédécoupes » il faut comprendre une alternance de zone de liaison et de découpes alignées, dont la dimension et l'alternance peuvent varier en fonction des utilisations envisagées.
Selon l'invention, lesdites feuilles 1 sont en outre séparées par des découpes 3 s'étendant sur la majeure partie d'au moins un de leur côté parallèlement aux prédécoupes.
La « majeure partie » signifie usuellement plus de 50 %, et ici préférentiellement au moins 80 % du côté de la feuille 1 et plus préférentiellement plus de 93 % dudit côté.
La longueur restante ou zone de liaison 31 , globalement non découpée, sert de liaison entre les feuilles 1 ou série de feuilles, et peut être aisément déchirée par l'utilisateur. Par « zone de liaison », il faut comprendre une zone non découpée formée soit par un seul tenon soit par un ensemble de plusieurs tenons disposés à proximité les uns des autres.
Ainsi, en tirant et en déchirant quasi simultanément au moins une zone de liaison 31 l'utilisateur décolle l'extrémité de la feuille suivante vis-à-vis du rouleau, de sorte que cette dernière est de préhension aisée. Par ailleurs, la ou les zone(s) de liaison 31 permet à la feuille déjà dévidée de ne pas tomber au sol si l'utilisateur ne la maintient pas.
Non limitativement, la ou les zone(s) de liaison 31 peuvent être prévues à une au moins des extrémités de la découpe 3 et/ou en zone centrale de la découpe 3, et/ou entre ces zones.
La figure 2 montre une zone de liaison 31 disposé au milieu de la découpe 3.
Par ailleurs, cette figure illustre un mode de réalisation selon lequel une découpe 3 alterne avec deux prédécoupes 2. On définit ici une alternance d'ordre 2 à savoir une découpe 3 alterne avec deux prédécoupes 2. De nombreuses autres combinaisons peuvent être envisagées ; une alternance d'ordre 1 ou d'ordre 3 ou davantage pour les découpes et les prédécoupes sont à considérer comme faisant partie de l'invention.
Afin de réaliser industriellement ce type de rouleaux, il est prévu, comme illustré sur la figure 3, de faire passer au moins une feuille entre un élément tournant 4 portant plusieurs couteaux 41 , et un contre-couteau fixe 5.
De façon connue, le contre-couteau 5 est un élément profilé, fixe, destiné à supporter la pression exercée par chaque couteau 41 lorsqu'il passe à son niveau. L'élément tournant 4 est une pièce cylindrique dans laquelle sont retenus et encastrés des couteaux 41 qui en dépassent parallèlement à des génératrices du cylindre 4, comme représenté sur la figure 3.
Sur la figure 3, à titre d'exemple non limitatif, sont représentés quatre couteaux 41. Bien entendu ce nombre peut différer selon les besoins et/ou les applications envisagées et/ou la configuration des machines utilisées.
Par ailleurs, comme illustré schématiquement sur la figure 4, chaque couteau 41 présente un profil tranchant spécifique.
Plus précisément, chaque couteau 41 s'étend longitudinalement sur une laize de la feuille à traiter. A cette étape de la fabrication, la feuille à traiter présente couramment une laize de plusieurs mètres. Elle est ensuite enroulée sur elle-même pour former un log qui est ensuite découpé dans sa longueur en plusieurs tronçons : ce sont les rouleaux finalement obtenus, et qui, pour l'application papier hygiénique présentent couramment une largeur d'environ 100 mm. A titre d'information, les rouleaux d'essuyages les plus connus présentent une largeur d'environ 210 mm.
Selon un autre mode de réalisation, le log peut être découpé perpendiculairement à son axe (donc selon le sens d'enroulement) simultanément à son enroulement. Chaque couteau 41 présente un profil tranchant comprenant au moins une zone de découpe franche 6 et une zone de prédécoupe 7 sur la laize de la feuille F à traiter.
La zone de découpe franche 6 est décalée longitudinalement d'un couteau 41 au couteau juxtaposé, ainsi d'ailleurs que les zones de prédécoupe 7.
Préférentiellement la zone de découpe franche 6 correspond approximativement à une largeur de rouleau final ; en fait elle est de dimension légèrement supérieure comme explicité ci-après, En outre les profils des couteaux 41 successifs sont tels que les zones de découpe franche 6 se recouvrent d'une longueur « e » (mesurée selon l'axe du rouleau) d'un couteau au couteau suivant.
Ceci permet une plus grande tolérance dans le réglage de la découpe, soit des log, soit des feuilles elle-mêmes si l'on choisit une découpe en ligne. On assure ainsi une zone de coupe franche et nette de chaque rouleau.
La figure 4 montre schématiquement un exemple de profils de couteaux et leur séquencement. Plus explicitement l'un des couteaux (référencé couteau 1) présente ici une zone de découpe 6 disposée à une de ses extrémités, qui alterne avec une zone de prédécoupe 7 sur le reste de sa longueur. Le deuxième couteau (couteau 2) présente au droit de la zone de découpe 6 du couteau 1 , une zone de prédécoupes puis une zone de découpe 6 de même dimension que celle du couteau 1 , puis à nouveau une zone de prédécoupes 7 ... et ainsi de suite.
Selon le mode de réalisation de la figure 4, le troisième couteau présente le même profil et est axialement disposé de la même façon que le couteau 1.
Ainsi cet arrangement spécifique et caractéristique permet de réaliser sur chacune des feuilles formant un rouleau une alternance de découpes 3 et de prédécoupes 2. Bien entendu d'autres séquences peuvent être imaginées sans sortir de l'esprit de l'invention.
Notamment certains des couteaux 41 peuvent présenter, de façon classique, uniquement des lames de prédécoupe. C'est la combinaison et la séquence particulière de couteaux 41 de profils différents, portés par l'élément rotatif 4 qui coopèrent successivement avec le contre-couteau fixe 5, qui permet de réaliser l'objet de l'invention, d'une façon à la fois nouvelle, simple, d'exécution facile et inattendue. o
La figure 5 montre des séquences de découpes et de prédécoupes identiques sur les quatre couteaux mais avec un décalage selon l'axe de l'élément tournant 4.
Sur la figure 6 deux couteaux consécutifs présentent une alternance de zones de découpe franche 6 et de prédécoupes 7, tandis que les deux couteaux suivants permettent de réaliser uniquement des prédécoupes sur toute la laize de la feuille à traiter.
L'homme du métier choisira en fonction du type de papier à traiter, et/ou de l'application souhaitée, la séquence la plus appropriée. Sur les feuilles, les prédécoupes 2 peuvent présenter des pourcentages de zone de liaisons différentes et variées ; l'homme du métier les sélectionnera dans le cadre de l'invention.
En outre, conformément aux schémas des figures 7 et 8, lorsque le rouleau est constitué d'un enroulement de plusieurs feuilles superposées, ici deux feuilles F1 et F2, il est envisageable selon l'invention, de faire parcourir des trajets de longueur différente à chacune des feuilles après l'étape de formation des découpes-prédécoupes.
Plus précisément après leur passage simultané entre l'élément rotatif 4 et le contre-couteau 5, les feuilles F1 , F2 présentent des trajets différents : la feuille F1 tangente un premier cylindre 8 puis un deuxième cylindre de guidage 9 tandis que la feuille F2 tangente le premier cylindre 8 puis un cylindre de détour 10, avant d'être superposé à la première feuille F1 au niveau du deuxième cylindre 9.
Ainsi les deux feuilles F1 , F2 présentent des découpes 3, 3' et des prédécoupes 2, 2' décalées selon leur longueur, comme illustré sur la figure 6. Elles sont enroulées ainsi pour former les rouleaux selon l'invention. De ce fait lorsque l'utilisateur tire sur une extrémité libre d'une feuille rouleau c'est l'une des feuilles, F1 par exemple, qui s'en détache tandis que l'autre feuille F2 est encore maintenue dans l'enroulement. On garantit ainsi avantageusement qu'une feuille est toujours prête à être saisie par l'utilisateur, convenablement dévidée du rouleau et cependant partiellement retenue dans l'enroulement.
Sans sortir du cadre de l'invention, les découpes 3, 3' peuvent être réalisées sur toute la largeur du rouleau. Dans ce cas l'alternance avec les prédécoupes permet un maintien momentané par contact sur une partie de la surface externe du rouleau, puis une ou plusieurs feuilles séparées par des prédécoupes sont susceptibles de se détacher d'elles mêmes du rouleau.

Claims

REVENDICATIONS
1) Rouleau constitué d'une succession de feuilles (1) de papier absorbant, à usage unique, séparées selon au moins un de leur côté perpendiculaire au sens de dévidage du rouleau par des prédécoupes (2) parallèles entre elles, caractérisé en ce que les feuilles (1) sont en outre séparées par des découpes (3), les découpes (3) et les prédécoupes (2) étant alternées selon le sens de dévidage du rouleau.
2) Rouleau selon la revendication 1 , caractérisé en ce que les découpes s'étendent sur au moins 80 % et préférentiellement sur plus de
93 % du côté découpé des feuilles.
3) Rouleau selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que les découpes (3) sont réalisées de façon à laisser au moins une zone de liaison (31) disposée préférentiellement en zone centrale du côté découpé.
4) Rouleau selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que les découpes (3) sont réalisées de façon à laisser au moins une zone de liaison (31) disposée préférentiellement à l'une au moins des extrémités du côté découpé. 5) Rouleau selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce que les découpes sont telles qu'il existe en outre une zone de liaison (31) entre l'une au moins des extrémités et ladite zone centrale.
6) Rouleau selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce qu'une alternance d'au moins une ligne de prédécoupe (2) avec une ligne de découpe (3) est prévue selon le sens de dévidage du rouleau.
7) Rouleau selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend un enroulement d'au moins deux feuilles superposées l'une sur l'autre de telle sorte que les découpes de l'une des feuilles sont longitudinalement décalées par rapport aux découpes d'une autre feuille immédiatement superposée.
8) Procédé de fabrication de rouleaux de feuilles de papier absorbant comprenant notamment une étape de prédécoupe des feuilles, caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste en outre à réaliser des découpes (3) perpendiculairement au sens de dévidage de chaque rouleau, parallèlement et alternativement auxdites prédécoupes (2).
9) Procédé de fabrication selon la revendication 8 caractérisé en ce que l'on réalise une succession de coupes (3) et de prédécoupes (2) selon une génératrice d'un outil de coupe (4) perpendiculairement au sens de dévidage du rouleau et avant l'enroulement des feuilles pour la formation des logs.
10) Procédé de fabrication selon la revendication 8 ou 9, chaque rouleau étant formé d'au moins deux feuilles (F1 , F2) superposées et enroulées, caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à réaliser un trajet de longueur différente pour les feuilles après la formation des prédécoupes et/ou des découpes (3, 3') et avant la superposition desdites feuilles, afin de créer un décalage longitudinal des découpes entre deux feuilles (F1 , F2) immédiatement superposées. 11) Dispositif de fabrication de rouleaux de feuilles absorbantes, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une unité de découpes (3) et de prédécoupes (2) de feuilles en formats (1), ladite unité comprenant un élément rotatif (4) portant plusieurs couteaux (41) de profil tranchant spécifique, espacés angulairement sur l'élément rotatif (4) et coopérant avec un contre-couteau fixe 5, le profil tranchant de l'un au moins des couteaux présentant au moins une zone de découpe (6) et au moins une zone de prédécoupe (7).
12) Dispositif selon la revendication 11 , caractérisé en ce que les profils tranchants de deux couteaux (41) successifs sont tels que les zones de découpe (6) et de prédécoupe (7) sont décalées selon l'axe de l'élément rotatif (4).
