Abstract

Ce procédé de décalaminage secondaire des bandes métalliques, en acier notamment, en défilement au cours de leur laminage à chaud par projection d'eau à leur surface à l'aide de rampes d'arrosage à buses alimentées en eau sous pression, se caractérise en ce que l'on alimente les buses sous basse pression hydraulique, ne dépassant pas 30 bars (de préférence en deçà de 10 bars, mais sans aller en dessous de 4 bars), et en ce que, dans le but d'assurer un effet thermique de l'eau projeté sur la surface à décalaminer quantitativement analogue à l'effet thermique obtenu avec la méthode de décalaminage secondaire connue habituelle à haute pression, à savoir un refroidissement de la bande qui abaisse sa température de surface jusqu'à 600 °C environ, afin que la densité du flux de chaleur extraite de la bande (HF) résultant du refroidissement de sa surface par l'eau projetée soit analogue à celle réalisée avec ladite pratique connue à haute pression.. L'invention s'applique à tout décalaminage secondaire, tant en amont du finisseur qu'en amont du dégrossisseur d'un train de laminage. Elle apporte une réponse immédiatement opérationnelle à la réduction des coûts du décalaminage, c'est à dire compatible avec un réaménagement des équipements industriels existants, donc sans Impliquer nécessairement la réinstallation d'un nouveau matériel complet.
